The first numbers are the average for both parks, the one that says 8 out of 10. Then the next number is the Disneyland predicted number and the the next number is the DCA predicted number. The letters at the end indicate what annual passes are blocked out that day.

Hope that helps.

Only a 7 on July 17th, the 60th birthday? I thought that would be a higher number. Works for me though! :)

They might not be factoring in the 60th celebrations yet, and just showing based on historical days. And it isn't always right. We were there in a Tuesday last month, TP predicted a 4, but there were 50 minute wait times for PP! I checked a couple of days later and they changed it to a 7! (They always say what it was vs what they predicted)

I would also ask, does it even matter what TP predicts since they do not follow their own published methodology at DLR?

I ignore all of these crowd predictors. We go when we go. We start early and stay late. And we normally can do everything

Maybe it doesn't matter, but I'm trying to determine whether it will be less crowded in mid-June (when schools are out, but the So Cal AP holders are not yet blocked out), or mid-June (right around the date of the 60th anniversary).

About your skeptisism of Touring Plans, as Disneyluvr2 said...I am surprised that TP has July 17 ranked as a 7. Seems like that day would be a 10 for sure.

The So Cal APs make a huge difference. My daughter went at opening last July, and hit almost everything in both parks in one day. So Cal APs were blocked. Yes, anniversary will make a bit of a difference due to increased marketing, but avoiding grad nights and APs could make it worth it. Also, we have found that some So Cal schools get out later in June so you'll see busloads of kids in the park at the end of the school year.

In my opinion it is always best to assume that it will be crowded when you go to Disneyland or DCA.

If it happens to be uncrowded then its an extra bonus.

With all that being said. I expect the parks to be extra crowded due to the anniversary celebration and updates to some of the attractions. A lot of the local visitors will want to see the changes for themselves.

So are these numbers actually true? It says the weekends are lower attendance than the weekdays. That sounds a little strange to me.

Not sure how to answer this. The numbers are flawed. But even flawed numbers can be correct sometimes. Read my previous post on TP crowd calendars.

Bottom line for me is I put zero credibility on their numbers.

I have not checked when grad nights are or the AP blockouts, but if it was me I would go, if possible, in June after grad nights have been completed and AP blockouts have started. I did this one year in 2007 where we were there right before and after the blockouts, and the crowds dropped significantly at that point.

If I could not hit late June under the above conditions, I would go in July and avoid July 17.

If I go in June I might be able to avoid most of the grad nights (which look like they end June 29), but I would not be able to go late enough to wait until the So Cal AP blockouts start (which is June 26...I'd have to be back to work by June 29).

The park crowds that are related to AP holders and blockouts is likely to be amplified in 2015 because of the 60th anniversary. If it was 2014 I would not be as concerned. But I think in 2015 it will be more pronounced. That is another reason I would lean towards July.

I would initially think June would be more crowded too (but because of the AP's not because of the anniversary). I'm assuming the anniversary will impact the entire summer.

My fear is that if there are people travelling to go to DL on July 17, they might be there for more than just the one day and they might be attending the few days before (July 14 -16) or they might stay through the weekend into the beginning of the next week (July 20 - 23). These are the days we would have to choose from if we went in July.

I would stay away from July 17 unless you are a diehard fan and just have to be there.

Yes the anniversary will impact the whole summer, but the AP holders who have a blockout coming will likely outweigh the more casual summer visitors.

Whatever time we go in July, we are definitely not going on the actual date of July 17.

Not to be a wet blanket...... but aren't you supposed to pay for a subscription to have access to the numbers?
