Is there any touring plans for universal studios, ioa, seaworld, discovery cove, etc?

My kids are ages 4 and 7 and have been on Splash Mountain, Big thunder mountain railroad, and tower of terror (they were really scared but they did ride it once). Will spiderman and the mummy be ok for them to ride? We've never been to those places before. Is there other rides you can recommend that they ride? Is Jurassic park similar to Dinosaur?

JP is more like Splash Mountain meaning you have a BIG drop. A lot bigger than Splash Mountain. The Mummy is fast (not sure on height requirements) but its does not go upside down. But story behind the ride might be bothersome. It can get loud and the special effects are amazing, My DD12 and I love it. Your kids will love Jimmy Newtron, Shrek, MIB, ET, Back To the Future, at IOA there is Spiderman, Duddley-Do-Right, Popeye (like Kali rapids), A small rollercoaster (like Goofy's), Cat in the hat, and others I can't think of. You might want to check out Universal's site for rides and height requirements.

there are touring plans & info for US & IOA as well as info on Sea World & DC in a book titled The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World 2006 by Bob Sehlinger. (you can look for it at your local library or bookstore). The book describes all of the rides & shows too.

my 4 y.o. DD hasn't been on the rides at WDW that you listed but would probably do fine on Splash & BTMRR (she'll probably try them this fall) - but definitely not on ToT. she doesn't meet the height requirement for Mummy but does for Spiderman & we're going in may.

for my 4 y.o., Spiderman will be too intense b/c of the 3D issue - she only tolerates Muppets & Philharmagic at this point at WDW & has given up on the rest (ITTBB & HISA). I have showed her some clips of the Mummy on a planning DVD & she couldn't even look at so i know that she would be scared in this ride. The sights & sounds in Mummy i think are frightening for most small children. The rides that your children have tried - Splash - some of it is very happy, some of it is outdoors, it's slow moving....BTMRR is all outdoors, quick but no drops. Spiderman & Mummy are both indoors, dark & fast-moving w/ some jerky movements. There is one spot in Spiderman where it feels like you're dropping, which may remind your kids of ToT.

I'd say JP is more like Splash but scarier due to the T-Rex (one big drop but otherwise slow-moving in the water) and Dinosaur is more like Spiderman (moving quickly in a vehicle from room to room).

if you want to try Spiderman, i'd say that Spiderman is far less intimidating than the Mummy. maybe your 7 y.o. will be fine but you're 4 y.o. may find it all to be a bit much. Good luck.
