Did you or do you recommend spending the $11.99 to have the touring plans and Line app on your phone?

I did download a couple of free apps that provide park hours and general line info. But maybe spending the money on touring plans would be nice.

Are they accurate? Are they helpful in your opinion? Are they worth it?

What other apps did you use on your phone?
Thanks.

First trip in 20 years and 6 days before I leave... can you tell I'm just a wee bit excited!?

What type of phone do you have? You may be able to get Mobile Magic which is the official app from Disney.

It will not give you wait times unless you are in the park, but it is pretty accurate.

I have Lines and it is as accurate as the people who are putting in the information. The benefit is that you can see the wait times no matter where you are. We have used it to determine if it is worth it to head to a park after dinner or something like that. Or before I head all the way over to Splash Mountain from Fantasy Land, I might check to make sure it is not down.

It can be helpful, but the apps can also be a hindrance in a way. I sometimes think we are so busy trying to save time on one thing that we miss something great and unexpected right in front of us. Just don't let them get in the way of enjoying the moment.

I paid the $12 and think it's well worth it. Not only for crowd levels and wait times but for park plans as well.

We used it to plan our trip and it was spot on with the crowd predictions. The lines app was very accurate. If we encountered a wait time that was not correct my dh just submitted the correct wait time & it was updated pretty quickly. We loved it & would use it again. I was actually sad when my 1 yr was up and my subscription ended.

It has been helpful in our planning and I suspect the app will be helpful as well. We did get it discounted on mousesavers.com. Currently you can get a 20% discount with the link on their website. That's a couple extra dollars for Disney.

Wonderful info everyone... I think I'll go for it and try for a discount if possible.
Thanks! T-5.... :-)

I was going to mention the mousesavers discount. Allears also has a discount code in their newsletters sometimes.

i am considering touring plans as well. its only my 16th? time in WDW, lol. actually i started looking into these apps, but i don't have a smart phone but i am thinking of getting unlimited data for nonsmart phones for the month of our trip. now i can access the wait times and such via the internet instead of an app, right?

I haven't actually used it in the parks yet, but I have signed up to the Touring Plans site and it has been very helpful in my planning. It's very cheap, so I say give it a try!:goodvibes

Yes...there's a "browser app" that you can access via the internet. It looks just like a big version of the phone app.
