Touring Plan question

On a day projected to be a 2 (by easywdw) is it really reasonable to do all three big space rides and the entire world showcase? I'm making a Touring Plan and it's telling me that if I arrive at 10 (park opens at 9) I can get the three big rides in by about 11, have lunch as Akershus at 12:25 and get all the WS attractions in with about 4 hours of extra time for exploring and looking at the pavilions before dinner at Rose and Crown at 7:15 and Illuminations at 9.

Is it really going to be that easy? I mean, this is before even adding in FP+, so it kinda sounds too good to be true after hearing people's crowd horror stories. Is a 2 really that dead?

(Soarin is not a factor. Soarin closes 1/4, our first park day is 1/6. It's okay, we're in CA and we've seen it dozens of times.)

What 3 Space rides are you referring to? I get Mission Space, and Spaceship Earth ( which isn't about space, by the way). What is the 3rd ride? And are you not interested in any of the other rides in FW?

I can see that it MIGHT be possible to do 3 rides on a level 2 day in an hour if you aren't doing TT. But with Soarin driving guests to other rides, I wouldn't bet on it. But if you arrive at RD and use your FPs, you could see just about everything in FW by noon.

As for WS, it completely depends on whether you just want to walk by the outside of each of the pavilions, or if you want to explore each one and sample what each has to offer. It is possible to walk thru WS in an afternoon. We typically spend 2 full days from 11-9 to do WS fully.

I'm having a truly ditzy day. No, Test Track is, in fact, not a space ride. Race cars and rocketships are not interchangeable except in my head. (It's been a long week and it's only Tuesday!)

Touring Plans is saying that if I arrive at 10 I can be at Spaceship Earth at 10:03 with a 6 minute wait, Mission Space (Green) at 10:36 with a 5 minute wait and then Test Track at 10:58 with... okay, a 36 minute wait. So more like 1 1/2 hours but still. It seemed pretty optimistic.

We have 2 full days in Epcot. My plan was to do one side of World Showcase and FW one day and then the other side of both on the other. (Although the geography of where meals are is giving me some pause on that. ) I think we'll stick to assuming that's what we need and then anything extra we get in on the first day is a bonus. We're going on day 1 and day 6 of a 10 day trip. They are a 2 and a 3 for crowd prediction respectively. If TP is overly optimistic we'll still be fine. I can just make DH take me back to see the 3 Caballeros again. I suspect that's going to be A Thing.

I think it's doable *if* it's truly a crowd level 2. Lately, TP's predictions have been off, especially it seems during these lower crowd times. Seems more people maybe are just going those times as well. But I'd aim to arrive at RD vs one hour after. That one hour can make a big difference. It's a bigger deal at other parks, imo, but with Soarin closed (Maelstrom still closed), you may find crowds heavier at Epcot for the few rides that are open.

I agree that the one hour in the morning can make a big difference in accomplishing what you want to accomplish. If it is possible try to make RD, the crowds seem to be heavier than the numbers look like, at least to me.

If easywdw.com is where you are getting you info, it's usually pretty reliable. That being said, I would also look at his "Cheat Sheets" for Epcot. He'll give you a touring plan and even gives charts on what wait times look like based on a level 2 crowd. You can compare that with what you are getting from TP and see how they match up, this should give you a better idea as to what to expect.

With Soarin' closed, I find that 36 min wait at TT 2 hrs after opening highly unlikely. If you can schedule a FP+ for it, you'll be in better shape. Or have the single rider line as an option.

Agree 100%. It is unclear if TP has fully accounted for Soarin' going down, assuming that they have accounted for it at all. I would guess that the wait for TT at 10:00 even on a "2" day will be more than 70 minutes. World Showcase doesn't open until 11:00, so there is only one place that people are going to sprint to at 9:00. So I would try to get a FP for that, or do it when you first arrive. By the time you are done there (without a FP), it will be well after 11:00. The lines at the other attractions you mention will likely be longer than 5-10 minutes each. Closer to 15-25.

I probably need to calm down and revisit planning after our FP+ date in about a week.

Single rider won't work for us (sadly) since one of the kids is under 7. We'd have to rotate who went and she'd be left out and that's not a good option. We love Single Rider but it's not effective just now.
