TOuring plan not taking my FP+ selections

I don't have a paid membership.
I can do all the personalizing and optimizing I want.

This really surprised me to read this. The only reason I paid for a subscription was to get access to the touring plans, so I was wondering if I missed something...

So I intentionally logged out of TP to see if I could get to the touring plans page. It says they are only available with a paid subscription. I wonder if you lucked into some glitch?

I was not precise.

To access the full crowd calendar and the full details of the TP plans, a paid subscription is needed.

But to create and/or optimize a personalized plan, all that is needed is to be registered on the site, which does not require a paid membership.

Besides the plans and the full calendar, I'm not sure if there's anything else on the site that requires the paid membership.

I am sorry if I'm being dense, but I really would like to figure out how to make this work - for a friend who would benefit.

So here's what I see when I am not "logged in" and I go to a regular touring plan page - like for the MK: it gives rides in "random order" and says you'd have access to the actual plan only if you are a "subscriber" and I only see paying options.

Same thing for personalized plans - when I go to that page, it says you only have access to those if you're a subscriber.

I might be missing something obvious, but like I said, I have a friend this would help if she can access these without paying for a subscription and there's some button I'm missing. Thanks for any advice you can give! (I wasn't sure how to insert screen shots quickly here - I'm sure that would have made my note make more sense...)

I think cigar is fibbing - the plans require a subscription.

Have your friend go to this page:

http://touringplans.com/walt-disney-world/join/basic

This gives a basic, non-premium, non-paid subscription to the site. Then he/she can log in and have access to the personalized touring plans.

In your case, you were trying to access the page while not logged in at all - hence the messages you saw.

Key phrase there is "or basic".

I tried to be clear that the plans are free. (Apparently I'm having one of those "ineffective communication" days.) I did not say they did not require a subscription. The basic subscription is free.

I have no reason to lie.

Also use of the TP app that will modify for plan "on the fly" during the day is also a feature of a paid membership. I haven't used it under FP+ but under FP- as you did something on your TP you checked it off your plan, when you pulled a FP you could put in the real return time and it would rearrange things based on the time you got. Under FP+ it may tweak things as FP times get close so you don't miss them. Or would refigure things if you rescheduled a FP+.

I'm not sure if this will help those with troubles, but this is the order that worked for me.

Add all attractions to the plan.
Optimize the plan.
Rearrange order to tweak to how I want it.
Evaluate the plan.
Rearrange the attractions for which you have FP+ to the proper time frame in the list.
Now add the FP+ to the plan.
Evaluate.

In other words, my attractions for FP+ had to be evaluated already in their desired time frame BEFORE adding the FP+ information in order to properly show up in my plan.
