Touring plan for Thanksgiving week?

I was thinking about getting tour guide mike's - is it worth it for the week of Thanksgiving? We will be there from Friday before the 18th to the Saturday after the 26th. I have DD9 and DS3. Staying at Pop Century. We are on the dining plan. Any suggestions would be helpful.

I will be there the same time you are! Staying at POP too. We arrive Saturday the 19th and leave Friday the 25th. And are also on the dining plan.

It will be me and the teen boy (14) and my sister and niece.

It's worth it for any week, but even better for a busy week.

We will staying offsite 11/18-11/26 (Embassy Grand through Skyauction) then booked POP for 11/26 and 11/27 so we could see Mickey's Christmas starting on 11/27. The week of T should be slow until T then it breaks wide open for the weekend. We will be doing our 2 MK days before T then, taking our off day or days and going to Seaworld on and after T, to avoid the crowds. The Unofficial Guide has the crowds broken down by the week I believe. I can't find the book this morning, my wife must have it stashed somewhere.

We are thinking of doing Epcot on Thanksgiving day only because it is a bigger more spaced out park and wewon't feel so crowded as if we spent it at Magic Kingdom.

Here is our plan, although there are a few things before and after, but these are the parks... We are staying off site for Disney, and on site at Universal but for only one night. Before the Orlando portion we are going to St. Augustine since we've never been. My hubby's whole family arrives Nov 19-27th and wants to do all the parks : )

Thursday Nov 17- see St. Augustine and spend night
Friday Nov 18- St. Augustine
Sat Nov 19- drive back to Orlando, buy groceries, check into Cypress Pointe Grand Villas and the rest of our party arrives
Sunday Nov 20- all go to MK
Monday Nov 21- all to IOA/US get ressie for Mythos
Tuesday Nov 22- MK for 6 of us and golf for the rest
Wed Nov 23-AK for all, dinner at Rainforest Café
Thur Nov 24- Nasa for some others just relax and maybe Downtown Disney
Fri Nov 25- Epcot for all
Sat Nov 26- MGM for part of day
Sunday Nov 27- US/IOA and fly out, we check into Royal Pacific Hotel and part of our group leaves

Although I have park hoppers we aren't planning on hopping at this time. We have a group of 10 and getting us all to go somewhere is pretty tough

We will be staying at pop century nov 18th-25th too! me, dh, dd (turning 10 on the 18th!) and ds (8) My birthday is nov 20th! So we will be there for both of our birthdays and thanksgiving, trying to snag a birthday cruise for one of those days! wish me luck! Maybe we`ll catch up at the pool!

What is this?

We will be going Nov 18-23. We are also staying at the Pop Century. This is our first time to WDW. It will be myself (29) DH (39) DS (9) and DD (5). We are really excited because none of us have every been to Disney (DH and I were deprived as children LOL) . If anyone has some advice or tips please let us know.

We are staying at POP the 11/26-11/28 also. Is anyelse going to Mickeys Christmas? This will be our first time for christmas and we are excited and curious. We plan to do MGM 26 for the osbourne lights and 27 MK for Mickeys Christmas. Anyone have suggestions on where to be and see? We here the resorts are decked out and plan to spend the day on 27 just looking around the resorts and downtown.

I will be heading down to the world on Nov. 23rd until the 29th ( 113 days to go) and will be staying at the All Star Movies. I'll be attending the Christmas Party as well. I hear it's so much fun...I know people who have gone to Disney many, many times and have never gone to it. They are so jealous .
Just have a good time and I guess relax and go with the crowds and not against them!!! Go with the flow!!!

Just my opinion about Tour Guide Mike...I've been to the MK over 30 times but never during peak season. Next year, we plan on doing July 4th week and I signed us up for TGM. I tell you, I am learning new things. I am very impressed with the amount of information that's given out.

Please don't expect a broken out day to day itinerary with your every hour mapped out because that's not what it is. You need to invest time reading the articles that would best suit your family situation and time schedule. If you have time to do that, Tour Guide Mike is an invaluable tool. I plan on spending little time in line when we go next July.

We will be there from 11/17 til 11/22. We have 12 in our party, staying at POP Century with the meal plan also.

We will be there for Thanksgiving week also.

We will be staying at Pop Century from Nov. 19-Nov. 28th. I am not sure of our plans yet but I do know we will be staying out of the parks on Thanksgiving day and then head over to Sea World for the Friday after.

Sure will be a lot of us at Pop during that time. Remember to wear your lime green so we can meet other Diser's.
