We are a family of two grandparents, six grown children, and one 2-year old traveling at a projected Crowd 6 time in October and I (Grandma) am trying to put together our morning plan for MK (we hope to return to our resort around noon and re-enter MK in the evening). I've never toured with a large group/stroller before so hoping somebody can give advice on whether this seems doable in terms of distance and pacing. Here goes: Arrive at park 30 minutes before rope drop, Peter Pan, Pooh, Dumbo all on standby, FP 7DMT 9-10 with rider swap; Small World if time; FP PotC 10-11; Dole Whip; Magic Carpets if time; FP 11-12 Splash Mountain with rider swap, lunch at Pecos Bill (with some of the group riding BTM on standby if desired), back to the resort. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

It sounds ambitious. It will be dependent on the lines for Peter Pan. That's the one that could bring it crashing down. If you have good luck with that one, you could do it.
I wish you all the best and please update your post if successful.

The plan may be doable as noted.
As I see it,It comes down to 3 things:
1. How long is the line to PP. Much of the other standbys depend on this.
2. How quickly do the grandparents walk? Even if you are near the front of the hub at RD, if your group moves very slowly, you will be far back in PP line.
3. What time does the park open that morning?

The standby lines for Poo and Dumbo shouldn't be too bad early and you have FPs for most of your morning.
If the park opens at 8, PP, Poo, Dumbo and 7DMT could work, if it opens at 9, not likely.

Thanks so much for the reality check--our last trip was in 2014 and so much has changed since then.

Gharter, the grandparents (I'm Grandma) are spry trail hikers, but it's the whole stroller thing and herding 6 young (opinionated) adults that is the X factor for us. If it were just my hubby and I , we could weave in and out with the best of them!

The hours in October are not yet released so we have been working on historical predictions, but I am expecting Halloween parties on all but one of our available MK touring days so that will, I suspect, up the crowd level in MK on the one non-party day we will be attending.

My takeaway from the comments here is that my wish list is too ambitious and it's back to the drawing board for me.

jimd176 , I really can see it all come crashing down, thanks. It's a graphic image and not someplace I want to take my family. If it were just me and hubster, I would be more comfortable winging it, but not with 6 kids and a grandtoddler. I am going to shoot for a plan that is more doable, and yes, I will report back.

Onward! And many thanks.

You are correct about the crowd on a non party day.
Last fall, we went to MK on a Saturday night to see HEA It was packed. We went to the park on Sunday, a party day. The park was quiet until 4 pm.
Good luck with your planning.
