Touring New DVC Properties

Heading down to WDW in January (BCV) and wanted to spend a half day or so touring the new DVC properties (Kidani Village, BLT and Treehouse Villas) and was wondering if all three of them are actually going to be "tourable".

Kidani Village obviously is. But, what about the other two? How would one go about touring the Treehouse Villas? And, in regards to BLT, are you going to have to be a guest of the resort to actually be onsite? Would love to drive there, park and walk around.

well you can still see the rooms at the models at SSR.

for BLT go into the CR - there will probably still be DVC guides here that might allow you to tour with them. but really doubt they will allow you to go over without them.

if the treehouses have a vacany - just ask to see them at the front desk at SSR - now they may send you to the sales office - if so just go and ask to see the real treehouses villa.


now if the front desk says no vacany - sorry you can't the real thing.

You can't drive to the THV. You need a room ID to open the gate. You could walk over on the path from the Grandstand if you wanted to walk around the area.

If you were at the MK for the day, you could walk over to BLT, but again, you'd need a room ID to open the door between the BLT and CR.

generally speaking, you don't really tour the properties, you tour the model rooms (which are located at SSR).

you can tour the grounds of the properties and eat at a restaurant if you like but when people talk about taking a tour of DVC, they mean checking out the models at SSR with a DVC guide.

(there is also a model room of BWV available for walk-thru on the boardwalk with no appointment needed.)
