Tourguide Mike website help....

Okay your TGM users....I renewed TGM after my trip was complete and after the 60 days were up. I can get into the site, but not the forums. I have emailed Mike twice in the last 24-36 hours but still can't access the forums. Anyone out there have any suggestions or know how I can get a message to him that this problem is out there and is not fixed? Thanks!!!!

The same thing happened to me and you just have to wait for his reply, I guess. It think it took about 1-2 days for him to get back to me.

Mike's out of town this week. He mentioned it on the boards over the weekend. I'm sure he'll check his e-mail though.

LOL!!! If I could access the boards I would have known that bit of information...... Well, at least now I know why it is taking a little while to hear from him. Thanks all for the info!

You know what, when I renewed my AVP, I had the same problem. I emailed Mike and he did some magic behind the scenes and I was good to go again. This is totally a wild guess on my part, but I'm thinking it may have something to do with the fact that the AVP and Forums use 2 separate databases. When you renew your AVP, the AVP database recognizes that fact, but the forum database may not yet and may require some intervention to "reactivate" your user ID over there too.

Sorry, I ramble. In a nutshell, my understanding is that this is a common problem that Mike has to deal with and for which the fix is really quick and painless. You'll be back in the forums in no time!

I think TGM is out of town this week helping his family after his niece had emergency surgery. He has his computer with him though (so he said and he has been posting some on his boards) so perhaps he can get it fixed for you.
