Would love some suggestions from you. I've booked the Keys to The Kingdom Tour for Wed Sept 24th, the 8:30 tour. I need to check in by 8:15. Now the park doesn't open until 9:00. I've heard that the monorail doesn't begin until 45 mintues before park opening. When I spoke to someone at the reservation center she suggested that I park at the Contemporary and walk over. I want to spend the entire day at the park so I don't think I will be allowed to do this. Has anyone been in this situation before? Would very much apprecaite your suggestions. I don't want to miss the tour and I want the earliest tour to make the most of my day. Thanks!

My wife and I went on the 8:30 Keys to the Kingdom tour on June 6 this year. We drove to the Ticket & Transportation Center at 8:00 and we told the gate keeper we were on the tour. She let us through the gate and we took the Resort Monorail around to MK. At MK, we told the guard that we were on the tour and he directed us to the far left turnsile where they let the people in who have breakfast reservations. I believe the person manning the turnsile had a list and our name was on it for the tour. We met up with our tour guide in the garden just to the left of City Hall. One thing that we didn't know about was that they do not allow you to carry any large backpacks or other bags on the tour. You have to leave them at City Hall and pick them up at the end of the tour. I think the reason for this is to prevent people from bringing cameras on the tour and photographing the backstage areas.

We really enjoyed the tour. Our tour guide was Regina. She used to work for the Entertainment Group where she played both the Cinderella and Alice characters. Her knowledge of everything Disney was amazing.

Thank You for the information Dick. I was starting to sweat and I didn't want to get caught not making the tour on time. I'm traveling solo and didn't want to make a wrong turn somewhere without a lot of time to recover. Very much looking forward to the tour. Hopefully I will get Regina as a tour guide.
