Tour of St Marteen

I'm actually asking for my girlfriend who is going on a Princess cruise this summer, but I knew this would be the place to go!
Has anybody done a cab tour or another tour while in this port? Any pros or cons to taking a cab ride? Can anybody recommend anyone?

You can catch the cab at the tourist info booth right by the tender area. It takes you on an island tour with a stop at Orient Beach (swimsuits optional beach!)...and at the end will drop you at the "family beach," the ship tender area, or the shopping area (your choice.) All of these are within adult walking distance of where you catch the tender. There is also a brief stop for shopping and soft drinks.

We had a good driver/guide, so it was a good tour and introduction to the island.
