Got on yesterday just long enough to pay and then that was it!
Annoying as I have the time TODAY, NOW to get started.

Regardless if you love or hate TGM, for a service that requires a paid subcription it's pretty poor customer service on TGMs part. An email at least could have been sent either giving those a chance in advance to print any information they may need if this was "scheduled" down time. If it wasn't scheduled, the fact being how long it's been down now, an email should have been sent updating the status and the projected time frame it will be up again.
It's about 20 miles North of Everett. Think Arlington/Marysville. Kayak Point State Park.where is Lake Goodwin? I have lived in WA all my life and haven't heard of it.

Oh well, let it never be said that I can't be flexible.
Me too! I was really planning on spending a long rainy afternoon perusing the raft of information TGM offersOh well, let it never be said that I can't be flexible.
Curious...
Why do people post that they are subscribing? Why don't they just subscribe? Is it to boost post count or ddo they just want everyone to know they are subscribing? Or is it one of the Dis' best kept secrets - how to subscibe![]()
I have no idea how to subscribe without posting either!
This would be assuming that TGM has the ability to send an email or has access to the customer database to know who to send to. Does anyone know exactly what has happened, for this amount of time, it must be pretty catastophic. I would assume that his site is hosted in a secure data center with power backup, server backup, etc. His mail server may not be the same server as the one hosting his site but if they are in the same rack and the building burnt to the ground, they have no way of doing anything until some sort of backup is loaded somewhere, dns would have to be repointed and that could take days depending on time to live on the server, there are just way too many factors to consider depending on what has taken him down for this long. Unless he's taken your $20 and headed to Mexico.....
I would think that they are frantically trying to fix whatever the situation is and get the site up and not worry about the time it would take to notify everyone that their site is down, which is obvious. Does he have a phone number listed somewhere to give a call to?

Glad to know I am not the only one. I was starting to think my comany's IT group was onto me. Guess I actually have to do some work now.

I bet he does have a way to get online. Since he knows these boards exist, I mean, he is a sponser, he could post here saying what's wrong.I would think that they are frantically trying to fix whatever the situation is and get the site up and not worry about the time it would take to notify everyone that their site is down, which is obvious. As for compensation, TourGuideMiKE has a very easy money-back guarantee- once the site is back up, just hit the contact form, and your subscription $s will be refunded, no questions asked.
