Tour Guide Mike

Tour Guide Mike is a website that offers greatadvice for Disney trips. We've used his service 3 times already and are using him again at Thanksgiving and in May. Many people are confused at first because there is sooooo much information.I have a few hints:
You will first be asked a bunch of questions about your trip. After this, each time you log on,a page will load that has a box called My Month's Express Panner.Click on the month of your trip. This will open your month's page. Scroll down until you see
TGMike's Planning step 3,click on the least crowded days link, that page will open. After finding your days, look in the left hand column for the sample touring plan for each park.
This is pretty much the gist of it-the info most people are really wanting to know. There's a ton more information on his website. There's also a forum that has excellent information. Good luck to you.

Many people think that TGM is going to spit out a fixed itinerary for your trip. This is not the case. Tour Guide Mike shares with you tons and tons of tips that help make your trip the best it can be. His best parks chart is the best!! His sample tours are awesome. We used his site for the first time last week, and we literally waited no longer than 10 minutes for a ride, and that was once or twice, for the entire week. I plan to use him each and every time!

Just be cautioned that there is a lot of reading. Many people get confused by just clicking on link after link, and then losing track of where they are. It's just so much information! Start with your AVP planner and go step by step. If you get lost or confused, ask on the forums over there. Everyone is very helpful.

Good luck, and happy planning!

I think its worth doing, at least once. It gets you thinking strategically about how to best outthink crowd mentality. Much of it is common sense but if nothing else it will validate your own best ideas on this subject. I recall a previous poster who was was upset that "Mikes" itinerary coincided with his own. I had the same experience but was more than happy to have my hunches confirmed.

I think TGM is very well worth the $$$. I think it is soooo much better than any tour guide book you will buy. He gives you which park on which days & so much more. I've purchased TGM twice & made my plans & dining based on his recommendations. He knows his stuff!!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I concur - there is great value in the information that Tour Guide Mike provides. When we followed his advice on our trip last week, everything went very smoothly. I felt like we were always one step ahead of the crowds and we could accomplish everything we wanted with very little wait. When we had to deviate from his recommendations, we ran into long lines and frustration.

As someone else said, it is worthwhile if only to affirm your existing theories about how to plan your trip. We found it very helpful.

I have used TGM the past few trips, and have been there maybe 15 or so times. I think it very worth while. The what parks/what days is worth the price alone, very inexpensive. I was last there Memorial Day week and weekend. He directed me to the least crowded and he was right on. Give it a try, money back if you do not like at any time.

Wow, you ask a question about a sponsor. Well DIS claims to be one of the few uncensored sites on the Internet. Personally, I think WDW is not that hard of a concept to grasp, information is readily available, but if you are short of time and unable to organize a large amount of information, then 'his' service may have value.

If you are a person who is typically involved in project management or if you are able to organize events or analyze information from various sources you will be find and use your money saved on a special WDW meal.

I love TGM and come on, its $20. When you are spending thousands on a vacation, what's another $20.

I am a very organized, detailed person and I love all the info I can get from his site. His Least Crowded Park Charts are great and I love that he explains why he suggests what he does. He teaches you his philosophy, not just spits out the information.

I would definately recommend him.

I too would recommend TGM - we have found his information to be valuable - with 13 trips in the last few years we feel we know the parks well - but his advice as to what parks to tour on what days and his touring plans are right on the money. Like the previous poster said - with all the money you pay for the trip another $20 is not a lot - and if it helps you to enjoy your trip more why wouldn't you. I find his service better than any of the books I have read!

Just about all of the information Mike provides is available from other sources *but* he does all the work putting it together and that could save you hours in finding it yourself.

Is that worth $20 to you ?

Thanks everybody!!! Your right whats an extra 20$! Cant wait for my trip so now this will give me somemore planning tips to use! Thanks again!
