Tour Guide Mike - End Product?

Try MousePal at MousePal.com. It is a lot better organized. I tried TourGuideMike but I'd rather not spend 6 months trying to find everything.

Can you describe the "end products" you were able to get from MousePal? What exactly is the attraction itinerary mentioned on their home page? Would that be a "park touring plan?

i have mousepal- and while it's helpful it doesn't really do what i want or thought it would. i thought you'd select your attractions, meals etc and would provide a personalized itinerary-- my bad- it doesn't. it does have a lot of info, but no more than what you can find online.

for me- i'm planning it out via all my reading then inputting it all on touringplans.com - i like the finished product much better than the one mousepal prints out-- and touringplans online organizer is FREE!

Thanks for the reply. I suppose I will do the same with the information I get on my own and through my membership with TGM. Glad I asked, I should have done that last time prior to becoming a paying member. My cousin told me about a site that she was able to join that created a specific touring plan and itinerary for her trip to DL so I ASSumed that there had to be something similar for DW.

Thanks again.

No, I sure don't. My cousin said she used one for their DL trip so I though there had to be one for DW. If I had the knowledge and computer skills I think I would be able to retire to sunny Florida and make a killing with that product though.

I think the UG site may do that, I'm not sure but I really don't want to sink to much more money into this without knowing for sure. The other thing about the UG they really do have you bouncing all over the parks. If they do customize plans I wonder if you can tailor your request so that you aren’t running all over the parks. Maybe someone who has used that site can weigh in on this discussion.

For now it looks like I will use all the information from various sources to attempt to create a park touring plan for my families needs. If I could only get my 16 year old to ride all the Mountains I could use any one of the sample one day touring plans out there.

I think ridemax.com is the DL tour planner.

I've tried mousepal, and while it seems very nice and only cost $9.95 it did not give a personalized plan. Also, there was no more info on there than I get from Birnbaums.

It basically seemed like a tool designed to organize an itinerary that you create.

exactly- i totally agree. as i stated earlier- i find the touringplan.com online organizer much better - and its free!

I find that TourGuideMike is fun to read and it's not a bad product. I just use it for the tips and the park strategies. I don't use it plan my trip step by step. It's just another source of information.

I have to agree, it is somewhat fun to read his articles. I know it is hard to catch, because with the written word you are unable to hear the author’s voice and inflection, but he seams to write with a tiny bit of sarcasm. Of course that may be what I “hear” when I read his material. All I know is that I enjoy the style of his writing. His advice appears to be very sound, many rave about the results that they get from his tips. I certainly hope to gain a leg up on the crowds by using some of his advice for upcoming, first every summer trip.

I'm a big TGM fan too. I just wanted to say that I start laughing whenever I read that you can find his information elsewhere, like here on the DIS. :rotfl2: :rotfl: Yes, that may be true. But how is one supposed to tell the good info from the bad info? Really, I'm not joking. There is so much misinformation out there. Just look at the the "EMH or not" threads. All the diehard EMH fans say, "Yes use the EMH. Of course." At the same time others say avoid them like the plague. Well, who is right? TGM says they both are! It simply isn't that cut and dry. It depends on the time of year, which day, and which park you are planning to visit. Mike give great advice and explains so you can determine for yourself whether to use EMH.

Brian Noble has it just right. TGM is a philosophy. If you only embrace one aspect of it, you won't get maximum benefits. I visited WDW once a year and my trips before TGM were fun, but since taking the leap of faith and embracing more of a TGM philosophy they have been AWESOME. We go twice a year now and even during the summer crowds without hesitation.

Count me in too!!!!-- :cool1:
I'm NOT PAID by Tour Guide Mike--I'm just
a VERY satisfied user-

TGM is as much a philosophy, an understanding, as it is an itinerary specific
service--

Though, it took a little time navigating, getting comfortable and putting the information together, since I subscribed I've gone to WDW at some of the busiest times possible and still felt as if it was my private playland- :wizard:

I've said it before and I'll say it again----No matter how hard you try, a WDW trip is expensive! and it really boggles my mind to think that such a costly trip can be made or broken by such an inexpensive investment :goodvibes

His "philosophy" as well as the Dynamic nature of the site--the ability to update information on the fly is just "priceless" to me :earboy2:

So taking nothing away from these boards( which offer their own brand of good info) the Tour Guide Mike site when used properly is the single best
Disney planning tool you can get!!!!!
