We are booked to go Aug 2014. We've been in Aug before and know this is when there are tons of foreign tour groups with kids. Do they usually stay at the All Stars?

I was there in August last year, and there were no tour groups. We went the 15th through 22nd.

We have been in Aug too and have never seen the tour groups you are talking about. In July is when we have seen them.

We have gone the 3rd week in Aug for many years. We never had a problem with large tour group.

You are confusing it with another time of year. August is the least busiest time of year for Disney. There were never tour groups when we have been there and we have been there in mid-late August for every trip.

I know I've seen the groups from Brazil with the leader holding up a flag to keep kids together.. We did 3 Aug trips..usually 2nd week .

You may see some tour groups, but usually winter is the big TG season. They can be at any resort. I've seen some at POR. Last January we were at POFQ, and saw some over at POR. Any value resort. I recently this year read they were also at a deluxe.
I have noticed a big change in the TGs this January. In behaviour. I think maybe the tour organizers got a talking to by Disney. They were noticeably better behaved, and made more of an effort to keep the kids in line. No loud cheering, line cutting, and running amuck. We were on the same bus as a big TG going back to Por/POFQ. The TG leader would shush them anytime they got too loud.

If this continues, it sure will be a pleasant change. ::yes::

Disagree with pp that said they are the second week of Aug. We go at that time every year (will be returning on Aug. 8) and we have never had any tour groups there on any of our trips. I wouldn't worry about it.

We dealt with Brazil this past January, and they were awful. Shoved my 2 year old son as he was walking through a line, yelling, cutting. It was bad and the only reason I dread going in January again. Left a very sour taste. Pop Warner groups were much more tame than I had read on here.

I can't really speak to August being full of tour groups (only went once in August) and don't remember seeing them. We have gone the third week of January for the last seven years and there are always a lot of them at that time.

We will either walk fast past them and try to avoid where they are going. We have been in line with them and they can be loud. We have gotten stuck at Tower of Tower in the hotel where the Twilight Zone clip plays. They kept screaming in our ears:crowded: This past January we were in line for Spaceship Earth and the line was long. There was a boy and girl making out constantly. I dreaded being right next to them as the line continuously snaked around. This, of course, can happen with anyone but I remember it because it was recent.

One of my really good friends is at POP now and there is a group of Brazilians staying there too. She recorded them at 1:30 AM this morning and sent me the video. It was awful! I felt so bad for her and her family! We all just returned from NYC where we had a large Brazilian tour group staying on our floor and kept us up for 3 nights until they checked out! And now she travels to Disney and she runs into a group again. She can't get away from them!

It got so bad in NYC that I tracked down one of the "supposed" chaperones (who looked 12-yrs-old by the way) and she told me she couldn't do anything about the group on our floor because none of the chaperones were staying on that floor. I thought legally you have to have at least one person over age 18 staying in a room. This was at a Hilton!

I would hope Disney (and Hilton) would do something about this problem that seems to be getting worse. I can't imagine it being that lucrative to keep such groups....especially if you start driving others away!

One night, maybe.

But I would have been pretty insistant about a resort change long before it hit the 3 night point.

July & January are the height of BTG season. You won't see many (if ANY) in August.
