Tour de Fromage?

Has anyone done this? It's the wine/cheese tasting at the Old Hickory Steakhouse at the Gaylord Palms, on August 18. I was just wondering whether anyone's done these before, and, if so, how they were.

Oh, Anne, I was hoping that you'd done this before! We'll be there August 18, and will take lots of pictures & report back. It sounds like the kind of thing we'll enjoy: a cheese & wine tasting, $30/person, with business casual attire. Very different from the usual activities offered here, which often seem to be family/children centered. August's Tour de Fromage is for Spanish cheeses.

We did it for the first time..the last one they had. It was cheeses of france and wonderful wines/beers/champagnes to match. It was fantastic.

We love staying at Gaylord Palms, the resort is fantastic. After the cheese event..we want to eat at the steakhouse even more. The chef was there..he is wonderful. There is a cheese and wine person for the restaurant, they hose the event. Very, very nice and lots of fun.

Oh, and go ahead and valet park..you get reduced valet fee for the afternoon tasting. Enjoy1

The reservation phone number is 407-586-1600 - they don't require a credit card to book, but they said that reservations are necessary. We found out about the event, because there was an article about it in Hometown West Osceola, which we get at our apartment address.

Webray, is there self parking, as well as valet parking? I haven't ever parked at the Gaylord, so don't know how that works. We've only ever been there once, to pick up my SIL from a veterinary conference that was being hosted there.
