Which ride do you think has the toughest fastpass to get
ie. "sold out" early in the day

Definitely Soarin Over California in our experience!!!

do they go fast?
and is the matterhorn really under refurb?

Yes, the Matterhorn is still under refurbishment. it was scheduled to be finished on Wed. or Thurs. , but did not look close when we left on Saturday (12/14/02.)

This week, there were no problems getting any fast passes. We walked on to so many attractions it made our heads spin. Tje longest wait I saw for a fast pass was 2 hours, and that was only once.

Actually, they're now saying the Matterhorn won't be done until at least mid-February.

IMHO, the hardest one to get is Small World Holiday!

Splash and Indy have been hard on normal trips (non-holiday)

Small World Holiday fastpasses were out on Thursday evening when we were there.

When we were there in July it was Soarin' Over California in DCA and Indiana Jones and Splash Mountain in DL. We did these rides first thing in the morning in each respective park and other than the Matterhorn, which will be closed when you're there, we had no problem getting on any ride and didn't even really need fastpass. Completely different from WDW in that regard where we constantly needed fastpasses for the same time of year.
