Just wondering how those with small kids handle all the water sprinkler thingees.

Do you bring a change in case they get soaked? Or put them in actual swim suits (I have boys so logistically pretty easy)? What about their feet?

They will be wearing sneakers with socks. Should I bring water shoes?

I remember one at Donald's boat in Toontown but know there are more.

Can't believe we leave in 4 weeks!!!!!!

I have girls so my answer might not be any help.

When my where that little we use to dress them in gingham sun dresses. They dry super fast so they where never wet very long. And we use to just take their shoes off to play in them.

I know they make gingham shorts but tunks might be just as easy to wear if you don't own any gingham clothes.

When we where there is Septmeber, Donalds boats was closed. But there is still the one at the market place, Ariels Grotto and the one in EPCOT in the Test Track area.

And possibly in 100 Acres Woods :confused3 ? New to me and my girls are 10 and 12 now so we didn't go in.

You mean places like this (in DL, but the concept is the same), where children end up looking like this?

I thought I was prepared. His top was part of a bathing suit set (I guess "rash guard" is the term?), and that was good. But his shorts were heavy cotton, instead of the trunks I had stashed in case he wanted to play in the water areas. I did bring extra shorts, underwear, and shirt. And socks!

I did not, however, bring a towel or extra shoes.

The towel problem was solved by a CM in the nearby bathroom, when she urged me to use the thick changing table disposable pads to dry him off. The shoe problem was solved when we went to a gift shop and bought him new Buzz shoes.

So....have a bathing suit and sandals with you, and at least one change of clothing, down to new shoes. And a towel. And a big plastic bag to put the wet things in!

It was very hot when we went, so I didn't bother to change his clothes, just his diaper. He was wearing Crocs so no worries there. Had it been too chilly to leave him in wet clothes I would have changed him right away.

We did have a change of clothes in the diaper bag every day, just in case.

As for shoes we put our little one in Crocs and the water drips out. I also put on a swimsuit if I even think there may be a chance of water. I carry an extra change of clothes in the bottom of the stroller in a gallon zip lock so I can put the wet clothes in when I take the dry clothes out.

Remember to take out the wet clothes back at your room.

bumbershoot very cute pic! I'm sure that'll be my boys.

I will go with suits AND a change. In case they hit the water before I grab them to change! I'll have to check the maps so I can be prepared and have them changed ahead of time!

I wish I had Crocs or some similar waterproof shoe that was comfy for all day. Their water shoes are Speedo and are great, but not suitable for all day walking.

FWIW, when my Crocs have gotten wet, they are extremely uncomfortable and just NASTY-feeling (like they are slimy), and when DH's Crocs got wet on Splash, he ended up with the most horrible blisters you can imagine with in an hour of Splash. So I'm not sure having Crocs would eliminate the need for dry shoes (and I know that my guy wouldn't have allowed that, he wanted dry shoes and he wanted them now).
