Will we still get a backpack after the final closing, or is that out since it normally comes with the paperwork?

I received the backpack and magnets after I had returned my paperwork. This was for a 50-pt direct in December.

My guide mentioned I’d be receiving the backpack! Two weeks after the purchase, a box with backpack and two magnets arrived! Same day the annual fee amount bill posted in my membership.

I'm "jealous." ;-) We bought two small add-on contracts to AKV early last year, and only received one backpack and one magnet. And then in September before the summer incentives expired, we added on CCV Fixed weeks and small RIV add-ons, but didn't receive any backpacks or magnets. We don't really need them, mind you, but it's the principle of the thing.
