Totally Overwhelmed!

So I need some basic planning help.

We are flying into Orlando 1/22/13 mid morning and staying thru 1/28/13. We have 4 adults and 4 children (5, 7, 9, 9). We have a treehouse booked at Saratoga Springs and requested we be placed near bus/water transportation.

We do have the dining plan as well so we have 6 credits for each of us. One snack, one quick and one table service. I already have reservations at Spirit of Aloha, Cinderellas Royal Table and Hoop Dee Doo.

I am wondering if it is a good idea to use ALL of our table service credits at these three restraurants and then pay cash for the others. Is it worth it?

Transportation thru the park... totally lost with this one!

I would love ANY pointers or suggestions!

Buses will bring you from your resort to a park and from there you can take a bus to another hotel. Your hotel bus will never take you to another hotel. You won't have the luxury of the monorail but you can always use it to get from epcot, magic kingdom, poly, contemporary or grand floridian. Don't know anything about Saratoga so have no idea if they have a boat to anywhere.

I think you should use the credits on those specialty dinners since they are so expensive. Don't use table service credits on the kids meals, use them on the adults since wherever you go, the kids meals are always cheaper. You will save money that way. Make sense?

We will have to pay for 2 days worth of table service meals for me dh and dd (4) so me and dh will use up all of the table services and I went to allears.net and checked the menu prices for the restaurants we will be going to and decided which 6 of our daughters meals we will pay out of pocket for.

Lots of questions here! January is a wonderful time to be at WDW. I'll be there earlier in the month. Using all of your table service dining credits on three meals...not me. But, then, I've never had the dining plan, have just paid OOP for them. Personally, I'd rather have more meals, but you may hear differently from others ( I like to include places like Boma, Biergarten, Chefs de France). And, when my kids were younger, had a quite enjoyable time at Chef Mickey's. Your children ARE a good age for that buffet. I prefer the supper buffet.
Are you using ME? Totally dependent on Disney transport? Not sure what you mean by "transportation through the park"? If your question has to do with getting to the parks, separate buses will show up at the bus stop at your resort for each Park, Downtown Disney, etc. If you have the park hopper option on your MYW ticket, you'll be able to move between the parks during the day, using monorail or buses. If you don't, one park per day. Choose wisely. I suggest you go to sites such as allears.net., and Disneyworld.com. Wealth of information on those sites. And, lots of people ready to help, here, too
