How much can we expect to pay in tolls from and to MCO using 417?

Would a roll of quarters be enough?

TIA

Being sure to get off at Exit 6 International drive there are 2 tolls of $1.50 each. So round trip is $6

Do not go past Exit 6 as suggested by the signs, there will be an additional totally unnecessary toll. Exit 6 leads directly to Epcot drive. Just take the exit and keep going straight until you hit the WDW gates and then follow the WDW signs to wherever you are to. Couldn't be easier.

The tolls on 417 are manned and can provide change, so no need for exact change.

Just need clarification. When I use google maps from the airport, it says to take Exit 3. Is this the one with the unnecessary toll? We are heading to AoA-will Exit 6 still work for us?

If you play around with googlemaps, you can move the line on the map to take 536/World Center Drive which then puts you onto Epcot Center. Once you're on WDW property, there are signs everywhere. Just know the basic area you are heading; find out what *park* AOA is near and follow the signs to that area, and then it will whittle it down as you get closer.

If you look at the map, you'll see that exit 3 gets you really close, while 6 makes you drive around a bit more.

When we have stayed further south-ish in Disney, we just take the extra toll. It's like 75cents, maybe a dollar now...NOT a huge deal to us. We're loaded up with quarters and ones anyway (tolls, pressed coins, and tips!) so having that extra isn't a problem. The last toll IS unmanned, though, so do have exact change available.

Along with having googlemaps, I really recommend getting a nice map of the area! :)

Yes, exit 3 is the one with the extra toll.

Take exit 6 instead and follow the road (536) to WDW property. Once you go under the welcome arch take your second right. At your second set of lights turn left onto Victory Way and follow to AoA on your left.

If you get onto 417 at Sanford from I-4, the tolls should be around $7.50 each way. We bring two rolls of quarters.

We like taking Exit 3 because it takes you through the big main gate/sign so it's worth the extra toll to us. Just make sure if you take Exit 6 that you go straight and don't turn right to the DTD entrance. No matter what time of day you'll sit in bumper to bumper traffic for a while and get SO impatient.

We LOVE 417 and highly recommend it.

There is also a big gate/sign if you take exit 6 and head in. We also just take Exit 6 regardless of where on property we are staying. Saves an unneccessary toll and easy to navigate once on Disney property.

We used to get slightly confused when heading back to the airport from Disney (because their airport signs will dump you on I-4). Now we know to just follow the Disney signs towards Epcot but not get off for Epcot. That takes you out to 536 and the ramp up to 417 at the Hess station. Super easy!

:scared1: I'm used to driving in small town areas and really want to avoid alot of traffic if I can. I'll be going to Wyndham Bonnet Creek and if I'm not mistaken the directions say to take that DTD exit to get there. I also plan on going over to the Crossroads area to eat some meals and those directions also say to go past DTD.:scared1: Is there anyway to avoid that high traffic area?

Also I'll be picking up the rental car at Alamo on the same side of the airport as DME. Exactly how do I get to the 417 route from there? (and please don't say north or south, I'm a turn right/left sort of gal and not real good with east, west, north, or south directions.:rotfl:) When we were down there in Oct/Nov my GPS took me I4 to get to WDW and for some reason took me back to the airport going through some weird residential route. He got me there, but I sure thought he was lost for awhile and had no idea where I was. lol

To avoid DTD route take Bonnett Creek Pkwy to Disney Vacation Club Way (it goes right by OKW and SSR) when the road dead ends turn right on to Buena Vista Dr. Take that road till it dead ends and turn left onto Hotel Plaza Blvd this will take you to Crossroads Crossings. This will put you just past DTD and all the heavy traffic in that area. This is the route we take to avoid DTD traffic.
