Total Cost: Should We Cruise?

If any of you have traveled Cat 3 on a seven day cruise, would you mind sharing the ballpark total cost of your trip (excursions, tips, airport hotel, taxis bar tab) included? Would you travel Cat 3 again? Why/ why not?

We are able to travel on airline passes, so we are weighing whether we should do a Disney cruise, or another type of vacation since the total costs of that type of vacation would be limited to hotel, car rental, food, and excursions.

To help with the advice, we have twin b/g seven-year-olds. They have been to DW but not on a cruise. DH and I have never cruised either. We love people, but on vacation we like to be alone as a family too.

I can't speak for the seven day but our land sea excluding aifare was just over $9000 in Cat 3. We don't drink,stayed on ship at Nassau and parasailed,snorkeled and rented bikes at Castaway Cay. Our sea portion extras costed about $430. I would imagine a 7 day,considering all the excursions is going to cost more. Our land portion extras was about $700(food,gifts).
