can anyone tell me whether i can go on TOT when i'm 16 weeks pregnant? my husband said no but just checking!!! i was desperate to do this ride but found out after we had booked!!! he is very smug about this, but think i will have to remind him that another trip will have to be booked for next year!!!

I dont know what the official line is but Id have been very reluctant to do any ride like this when I was pregnant

No - they advice you not to. There will be a bar type thing that would go over your lap so you may get quite a jolt around your tummy !!

You have a good excuse to plan another trip :thumbsup2

Agree :thumbsup2 It's not one I would do when pregnant. *If* something happened with the bar etc (probably unlikely but possible I guess?), I wouldn't have forgiven myself.

Great excuse to book again when you have the baby :thumbsup2 :cool1:

On TOT its more like a car seat type thing belt going across your lap not a bar but its probably still not a good idea to ride on it. Hope your having fun planning your trip :thumbsup2

Think you OH is looking out for you

As others have said best not to and then make up for it with another trip later :goodvibes

I'd also agree with the advice given - while the forces on ToT are not the strongest of forces (not as strong as those on say Indiana Jones or Rock 'n' Rollercoaster), they do change from positive to negative and back again very suddenly. These forces are also sustained for quite a few seconds at a time in between the sudden changes.

As others have said it's actually a seat belt rather than a bar so you would be ok in that respect only

The CM when me and my wife went told her that she most definatly was not allowed to ride and they wouldn't let her on if she tried as she looked obviously pregnant.

She never intended to ride it (even if not pregnant) but it was nice of the CM to not allow her on

Well that's it then, i will just have to arrange another trip!!!! But thanks for all the responses, i know it's better to be safe, but now i have to listen to smug DH any tips for revenge!!!!

Frankly I wouldn't go on it again even if I wasn't pregnant :) I have a brilliant photo of me during the drop, I'm surrounded by little kids all laughing their heads off and loving it, and me in the middle with every part of my body clenched in terror :)
