Hey all,

How come the cast members at the Tower of Terror always ask to see your hands after you put your seatbelt on? Is it to make sure your seatbelt is really on? I've always wanted to know.

I was told by a VIP guide that this is when they lock the set belt so you can not unbuckle them. You can see the CM hand is doing something when they ask you to raise your hands

Hahaha, that sucks. I figured they can see if all seatbelts aren't locked.

There are cases of people faking their belts being buckled and removing them after the ride started. Since you can't prevent stupid guests from riding they have to try to eliminate ways around the safety process.

Any sane person would want it on. But just like people that put hands in water on Pirates (and loose a finger tip) or stand up on a coaster, you can't explain stupid.
