ToT FP after Fantasmic!

I have the dinner package for fantasmic, which is at 8:30 PM. I selected a fastpass for tower of terror for 8:30 to 9:30 PM. Park closes at 9:30 PM. When they say park closes, does that mean the last ride is at 9:30 or does that mean the line for the ride closes at 9:30? I should have plenty of time to leave fantasmic and get to tower of terror and use my fastpass right?

The line closes at 9:30. Anyone in line will get to ride.

That being said, you won't gain anything by having a FP+ for Tower that late. You may be better off using the Fast Pass somewhere else earlier.

In my experience, Tower becomes a virtual walkon during the last hour or so of operation. In early June, my family rode it 6 times in just over an hour with little to no waiting each time.

We prefer to repeat the rides during the first presentation of Fantasmic, then we go to the late show after the park closes.

Is this true right after the first presentation of Fantasmic? Seems like many people from Fantasmic would go ride ToT right afterwards.

We are doing EMH that morning at Epcot, back to our hotel, and then over to HS in the afternoon. With our fantasmic dinner package, a show or two, two other fastpasses, and then being at fantasmic at least 30 minutes early, we only kinda have time for a third fastpass earlier in the day. If it is a complete waste, I can schedule it for another time and may or may not be able to use it.

I find that the vast majority of the crowd heads directly to the exit after the early Fantasmic concludes. Very few head back into the park for the last half hour of operation. The focus seems to be on leaving the park as quickly as possible.

We're the exact opposite. We've not participated in the Fantasmic dining package as the only seating option is for the early show. We prefer to maximize our time with multiple re-rides on the headliners late in the evening, then stroll in to the ampitheater for the late show about 10 minutes before showtime. We've been doing this for several years and have very rarely seen the theater more than half full. The available seating is just as good as what was reserved for dining participants.

I have found it also depends on where they let you exit after F! A lot times they have made us walk along the path that let's you out by the entrance. It is easier to just leave then. In February they herded us out by Beauty and the Beast. Tons of people headed over to TOT and RNRC.

You can usually walk on to ToT, or have maybe a 10 minute wait at max if you go right after Fantasmic! Either way, you will wind up near the merge with or without FastPass if you elect to have one at that time, so it is pretty-much a waste. I'd opt for a FP for R&RC and then do both during that span.
