I am wondering how many seniors (perhaps in their mid to late 60's) choose to ride some of the big headliner rides? There are often warning signs at the entrances about heart conditions, etc. However, rides like Splash Mountain don't seem all that wild. Clearly if someone knows they have a major health concern, they might choose not to ride such rides. However, how many seniors with typical senior health concerns (controlled high blood pressure, etc) go on some of these rides and which ones?

We go on all of them....for some reason I married a roller coaster person. Which was an adjustment for a merry go round person; but I manage. We're in pretty good health...no ongoing concerns.......... :smooth: :confused3 :wave2:

We just returned from a trip with my 75-year-old mom. It was her first trip to WDW, and we did just about everything. She's very active for her age and free from major health concerns. I'll tell you what she didn't ride - BTMRR, RNR, TOT and Mission Space. Everything else, she rode and loved. Her favorite was Soarin'. We tried to do a second ride a couple of days later, but the wait was too long and the FPs were in the middle of our dinner reservation.

My 80 yr. old grandmother rode Soarin, Splash, and TOT!! She is in pretty good health and she walked everywhere. I guess it just depends on each individual's health. :)

I am 52 years old with many health issues. I have controlled high blood pressure, asthma, etc. Splash, Big Thunder, ToT, all are perfectly fine for me. ( And delightful ! ) Space Mountain is a bit rough on my back, although I have done it, anyway. I would not suggest Mission Space if blood pressure is high.

My DH and I are mid 60ish (though when I look in the mirror I still see that 30 year old, lol) :confused3 :confused3

We have been on all the "Biggies" at least once to try them. :yay:

We no longer go on SM because it bothers my neck. :sad2:
MS we didn't care for.
ASRC - I don't like upside down coasters. :crazy2:
TOT I loved and hated at the same time, stopped going on that causes it's too scary!
:scared: :hyper:
SM is great as is BTMRR :mickeyjum :mickeyjum

We took my Grandparents last year, and the only ride I think they wish they wouldn't have tried was BTMRR.

My Grandfather is 72, and for some reason it just made him feel really sick, and he said he was sore for 3 days!

They LOVED Splash Mount. though, and rode it several times.

Didn't do SM, TT, MS, RnRC, or TOT.

On a side note, I know it's horrible to laugh at this, but when we were on BTMRR we were seated behind them, and the WHOLE ride my grandfather held on to my grandmother's wig because he was afraid it would fly off!
We laughed hysterically the whole ride, and I managed to take a picture! :lmao: :rotfl:

NO..I wouldn't have wanted that to happen! :rolleyes1 :teeth:

Really though, the look of horror on his face combined with the death grip he had on the wig...PRICELESS! :rotfl2:
