ToT 10 Miler Transportation

My husband and I will be running in our first every WDW race in the ToT 10 Miler. We are DVC members and will be staying at BLT which is not one of the host resorts. We will also not have a car. How do we get back to our hotel after the race (at 1AM??). Will there be cabs available outside DHS? Any advice for a newbie is appreciated.

There may be cabs at the park entrance; but there is a probability that there may not be one at the time you walk out. If your luck is like mine, the standing cabs just left as you walk out of the gate. Put this number for Yellow Cab (407) 730-3300 into your cell phone. Simply call if you do not see a cab standing.

An alternative is to way over to the Boardwalk using it as a cool off walk. There are always cabs standing there. Make sure to go up to the bell stand so they can hail it - you don't want to start a cabbie fight cause you grabbed the wrong taxi

When we ran the Wine and Dine last year, there were taxis waiting outside, but the line was crazy long. We drove to Expedition Everest Challenge this year, and we had no problem driving home. In fact, we'll probably drive to ToT, even though we are staying at a host resort because we've had such issues with the bus rides home during the Wine and Dine and marathon weekend.
