Some I'm hoping for some insight about the Tower of Terror 10 miler.
1. Transportation
I'm staying at Bay Lake Towers, which is not a host resort. The nearest host resort is the Poly. So I'm thinking of just taking the monorail to the Poly and using event transportation. Is that feasible for the 5K race? It starts at 7:30 AM. I expect that means that runners should be at the race for about 6:30. Let's assume that means getting on the bus for 6:00. So that would mean getting on the monorail at 5:45ish. Is there any chance it is even running at that time. It would seem to me that it would make sense for it to be, as the Poly is the only deluxe resort on the monorail line that is a host resort. Or is the only real option at that time to take a cab. If its a cab it may just be worth taking it straight to the race. Thoughts?
2. Things to do for the kids during the 5K
The kids' race (Mickey Mile) starts at 10ish. I don't see the point in going back to the resort after the 5K race to pick up the kids and bring them back for their race. But I also don't like the idea of dragging them out of bed at 5:30 to come to the 5K race and sit there doing nothing for 5 hours. Is there anything at the race field to keep them occupied between the time of the 5k and the start of their races?
Thank you
