Yes, it's true! One of the things that we normally end up doing on our trips to the Caribbean is buying some rum cakes to take home with us. They can be pretty heavy when you're buying a few of them and take up entirely too much space. While many of you probably already know this, you can buy the exact same Tortuga Rum Cakes that they sell on the islands from Amazon.com. Prices seem to be less than what I remember on the islands and they ship for free! (free 2nd day air if you have Amazon Prime)

So if you don't want to carry them back (which we no longer do) you have an option as to where to get them. Unless you want to eat them right away, of course. :)

I also saw them at the Reading China and Glass Store in Lancaster, PA. They had two different flavors, I think. I'm not sure if they have any other locations, though.

All this time I thought they were exclusive to the islands!

Doing an internet search will come up with several websites that carry the rum cakes. You can also order directly from the Tortuga website, I've done this several times. They are also carried in several shops in the Orlando airport and I've seen them at some stores in the Orlando area but can't remember right now which ones.

I live in Miami and am about 2 miles from a Tortuga Rum Cake factory  Products being exclusive to certain places seem to not exist that much anymore

For a taste memory of your cruise, be sure to go to Jack's World (32nd between 6th and 7th Avenues) - on the 3rd floor, they've got the small Tortuga rum cakes in original, chocolate and coconut, for only $3.99!

Many domestic airport gift shops now have Tortuga cakes in stock too. I usually pick one up after a business trip on the way home at MSP.

While waiting for our connecting flight to Orlando to go on our cruise, I was wandering around the shops. To my great surprise and delight, I found the Tortuga Run Cakes!!! In Kansas City, MO!!! Who knew?! I happily bought them on my way home. :cool1:

I'm trying to decide if I want to spend some time before or after our cruise at WDW. For those who have been transported back to WDW after your cruise, what time was your arrival? Is there a certain time a bus leaves with passengers going back to WDW vs ones going back to the airport? Or are there some buses the whole time waiting to transport people and it's a first come first serve kind of deal and when the bus is full it leaves?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm just so excited that DH mentioned I may want to compare before vs after so I can maximize my park time. Does he know me or what?? :goodvibes
