TORTiLLiA FACTORY

HAHA!

Don't listen to me. I guess I was expecting to go on some crazy tortilla thrill ride. You know, where you get to sit on a tortilla shaped doombuggy and then ride through the epic process of tortilla making.

ROFL the more you post, the more I like you! That was hilarious!

Yeah, that pretty much sums it up. My wife and I will say "Maseca!" while watching the video...and walking through the mini-factory.

I guess we're kinda dorks. :):)

I never knew that saying "Maseca" and "Thank you for the corn, you may go" made me a dork. Thanks for clearing that up! :rotfl2:

Love the personality.

Lol, I've done that too.
Does anyone else also say, "Jimm-ay" or is it just me? :confused3

Guilty as charged. If it wasn't for Jimm-ay the video would just be something standing in the way of my free tortilla!

Oh, and to the PP who mentioned getting a corn tortilla one time, that happened to us on our last visit and it was a shock to my senses. After many, many trips where I got a flour tortilla, I was quite surprised (and frankly a little disappointed) when the tortilla coming off the line on the left hand side of the factory turned out to be corn. It was okay, but I much prefer the flour!

I always cheat and go through the exit first to make sure they are cooking flour vs. corn. I only invest time watching Jimm-ay and shouting "Maseca" if I have the promise of a warm FLOUR tortilla at the end. :)

I would rather eat a tortilla from the tortilla factory than eat dinner at Tortilla Joes!

Good idea! When we went through in early January for my youngest son's birthday "bag" of tortilla's we got Corn Tortilla's. They went in the trash after a few bites. Yuck!

NOOOOOoooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is so sad :sad1: I love to take the corn tortillas home and make yummy tacos! Or Enchiladas!

I don't mind the corn tortillas but agree the flour one's are the best. But I have to say for taking home, the corn tortillas are the best!

Well, you're in good company with the rest of us dorks then! :thumbsup2

Oh no!!!! The blasphemy!!! I like the corn tortillas, I like the flour better but corn is good too. My BFF can't eat the flour, she has Celiacs.

I do admit we are not a big fan of corn tortillas. Was just not what I expected for sure.:guilty: We were there at the end of November for my dd's birthday and got the bag of flour ones. They were gone before we left the park!:rotfl:

We loved the tortilla factory - of course my kids are 7, 6, and 4 and they LOVE tortillas, so it was really fun for them to see the process.

We went through the bread factory also. In the first room my dd dropped her sample, so dh took her to ask for a new one and everyone in our group got another, LOL. Then we went through the line (it was fun watching them make the bread!) and when we got to the end a lady was cutting bread bowls. The kids were enjoying watching her so we stood there for a few minutes and the crowd cleared out and the lady signaled for us to wait a minute and she came around with a basket - each of the kids and I (first she just gave them to the kids, then said Mom needs one too!) got a Mickey head of bread. It was SO yummy, we each had an ear with lunch and made sandwiches the next day out of the left overs.
