OK, I've decided on Courtyard by Marriott-Vaughn for our upcoming trip to Toronto. we're concentration on Wonderland but we may do some activities downtown. My question is what's the best way to get to the hotel from the train station?

If you don't have a lot of baggage, you can just jump on the subway heading northbound on Yonge. Get off at College and it's just a block or so north on Yonge. Otherwise, I'd just grab a cab from the taxi stand out front of Union Station (I'm assuming that's the train station you mean?). Shouldn't be much more than $6-7, I wouldn't think. Anyone else have experience with this?

Have a great time!

No - Vaughn is north of the city... drive your car to the Finch Subway station and use the subway to get downtown to Union and back. The Subway costs $2.50 per person or buy a day or family pass to get the best use.

So if I read your post right, you are taking the train to Toronto and staying at the Courtyard by Marriott/Vaughan and planning on going to Wonderland as well as visiting downtown Toronto. Without a car this could prove interesting as the hotel is located 12 miles East of Pearson Int'l Airport or 15 miles Northwest of Downtown Toronto. The hotel website lists these directions from the airport...Driving Directions: From Toronto Int'l A/P: Take Highway 401 East to Highway 400 North to exit Highway 7. Go East on Highway 7 to Interchange Way, South. The hotel also bills itself as the closest hotel to Canada's Wonderland but the park is still a couple of miles north of the hotel.
You may want to try public transit to get around...

Oops, I missed the Vaughn. I thought you meant the Courtyard Marriott on Yonge. My directions are no good to you, then. Although, you might want to consider switching your reservations to the one on Yonge St as more convenient to everything.

Is renting a car an option? Otherwise you are in for a pain in the butt or a pretty hefty cab ride. I can understand the Vaughan thing for Wonderland - you will be set for that - but anything else in the city will be very difficult to get to without a car.

There is a GO BUS that leaves from YORKDALE Subway to Wonderland. I am not too sure of the price (it's been a LONG LONG time since Ihave used it). It's just better to drive there (parking is $7.50 I think)
