For all of our Disney trips, we always fly out of the US. Since we're flying to the Carribbean this time, we're actually using the Toronto airport for a change. Any recommmendations for a cheap but good hotel that offers 24hr shuttle service to and from the airport? I don't need anything fancy, but it needs to be clean. Thanks for any recommendations!

There is a Sheraton attached to the airport that is nice stayed there in 2000 (Ottawa flights became cheaper for us to Orlando and most destinations and since i live in Ottawa works out better) And in 2002 we stayed at the International Plaza there was loads of hotels near the airport that shared a shuttle like a Raddison, Best Western, Comfort Inn etc. I know the Travelodge in Etobicoke does that too and its pretty cheap with nice rooms and a good restaurant.

I fly into Toronto regularly for business meetings. We hold them at the Holiday Inn Toronto Int'l Airport. Nice hotel, good ammenities, and the shuttle runs every 20 minutes, 24 hours a day. It is a single hotel shuttle (some others are shared, including the HI Airport East), so no extra stops.

They have fly and stay packages for about $20 more than rack room rate (December rates $95 w/o parking, $115 with).

Happy travels.

We stayed at the Doubletree on Dixon Road this year and were very happy with it. Used park & fly for 7 nights.

Got the Sheraton Gateway through hot-wire (go to betterbidding.com to get the amenities to look for) and it was great, just walking down to the departure level.

Sheraton website best rate I could find was $239, hot-wire ended up being $84 US

We have stayed at The Sheraton twice and never for more than $99. Depending on how much time you have they have deals all the time. I just keep checking the website and both times I got great sales. There is nothing cooler than taking the elevator downstairs and WALKING to your gate.

Both times were a pay at time of booking but that did not matter to us. Our tickets were non-refundable so I didn't care if the hotel was too.

I am not a fan of the hotel restaurant though. The first time we stayed there we had dinner there, the bill was over $100. I had a salad and my DH had a reuben and I think one drink each. It was insane. That was more than we paid for our room and mediocre food at best. Last time we walked over to the Swiss Chalet in the terminal.

another vote for the sheraton. If you are flying Westjet, it is litterally down the escalator - you can wear your shorts and t's into the airport - you don't step outisde. For terminal 1, it is a tram ride but still you don't go outside (a little coller though in the tram).

The Sheraton has amazing beds and you don't hear the airplanes for some reason. I agree that you should not eat at the restaurant. THere is a swiss chalet in the terminal that we ate at - also a food court with pizza etc. We actually went into the terminal the night before and printed our boarding passes and had dinner - great start to an exciting vacation.

Parking is a little tricky - you won't want to leave your car with them ($28/day) so if you are a GTA resident, take a cab to the hotel and if you have to drive, take the car to a long term lot (much cheaper).

We just stayed at Comfort Inn Airport (Mathesison Blvd) i think the street was.
We paid $90 for the 1st ~2 people....then $10 each for the other adults in the rooms. 4 of us Adults cost $125 including all taxes/fees. It included a week parking and the 24 hour shuttle.
Very clean place.

We stayed at The Best Western. It was fine for an over night, rooms were clean, but small IMO. Shuttle to airport. I don't remember how much I paid, went thru Hotels.com

I'm a big Starwood fan (Westin, Sheraton, Four Points, etc). I've stayed at the Westin Bristol Place, Sheraton Gateway and Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel & Conference Centre.

Of the three, Westin Bristol Place is by far my favorite. I used to stay there basically any time I was in Toronto. It can be pricey, but if you watch, you can usually get it for under $100.

I liked Gateway, but you definitely pay for the convenience, and as one previous poster said, the restaurant is ridiculous.

Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel was nice, and I'd go back, but I wasn't there to catch a flight, so I'm not sure what the shuttle is like, or what long-term parking costs.

We've done this too. It is the four star with the spa icon. Such a great deal on hotwire.

Hotel Indigo on Carlingview $150 with 15 days parking. Parking is covered (nice for winter).
