Torn between WL and CSR

I have decided to take my two nieces to WDW June 13. I booked 5 nights at Coronado Springs with a code. I have stayed there once before when trying to save a little money. We love WL and we generally stay here. But it will be $250 more dollars!

Is it worth it with two children ages 7 & 9 to stay closer to the Magic Kingdom - just a boat ride away. I have not been with children this age in 15 years.
Just hate to inconvenience myself if I'll regret long bus rides to the parks from CSR. My brother (their dad) has decided to tag along and he has not been to WDW in 30 years.
Anybody think its worth $250 more for being closer to MK and being on Bay Lake where we'd be able to catch the EWP. Just seems more like you're in WDW when you're at WL. Any suggestions??

For Fifty dollars more a night...Deluxe 10 minutes away from MK with two young children in June, when trips back to Resort to rest ::yes:: and cool off with a swim are mandatory. Let me think about that one...Yes I believe that it would be worth it.

Either way have a Great Trip.

I didn't think the bus from CSR to MK was too bad, but I didn't have any children along. I think if you can afford it, deluxe is always the best way to go:earsboy:

I'd definitely switch to WL. The pool is great and it's so easy to get to MK plus we really enjoyed taking the boat monorail to Epcot rather than the bus.

Good points you've made. I think I'll call and try to switch our ressie to WL. Convenience is the main thing because $250 is not a whole lot of money when you're talking summer heat, buses, kids. And I think we'd like Roaring Forks better than the Pepper Market. Plus I think I'd miss the lobby. I love to sit there in the evenings. Maybe my brother and I could take turns venturing out after they're asleep. Besides, CSR is nice but there's nothing like that "wow" if you've never been to WDW and then you get to enter the WL lobby. I think I've convinced myself.

Your kids will LOVE LOVE LOVE WL!!! It's just made for families! It's also so compact & easy to get around.::yes::

You can't compare a mod to a deluxe but CSR is close. Mu preference would be to take CSR. No shared transportation, best pool of all the mods and one of the best on property, spa, gym, massage, beautiful landscaping. I'll take the money and spend it elsewhere.

I would always take WL over CSR. If you want to eat at your resort, it could be a long walk to the front of CSR for a meal, all outside not inside like WL. When riding the bus at CSR, you'll have to walk across a parking lot to get to the bus stop; and you are going in June. WL has queen beds while CSR has double beds.

Buzz2001 - you do have a persuasive website with a lot of nice pictures of Coronado Springs. I had forgotten about the jaguar slide. All in all I do think my nieces may enjoy Coronado the best. I would prefer WL. Maybe we will do a 3/2 split stay and then it will only be $100 more and we'll get the best of both worlds. Is it hard to get your luggage moved???

Good Choice! We are going in June with our 7 & 9 yr old and will be staying at the WL. I've stayed at the CSR and am certain that this trip will be so much better. I especially love that the WL will have that "hotel feel". We can't wait!
