We have one evening planned at DTD, and I was going to do Earl of Sandwich, since everyone thinks highly of it (we are having lunch at LTT at noon that day).

But I'd love to try Ragland Road - even tho it gets mixed reviews. We don't typically go to DTD, but we are at OKW this trip and I figure it'll be a quick trip home after dinner via boat.

So . . . which would you do? I'd like to make the ADR for Ragland Road soon, since I'm afraid free dining will be announced, and available ADRs will be few and far between.

Well for me the decision is easy - you're talking about eating at a sandwich shop versus a full sevice restaurant with a huge drink menu, good food, and wonderful live music.

Raglan Road wins for us every time. We've always had good food and service at this restaurant and we always go a little later in the evening so we can enjoy the band. It's a lot of fun and a very energetic enviornment.

we love Earl of Sandwhich-- we normally grab earls for a counter service meal. We are flying in late on a friday night this year in Sept-- and we are going to just get earls for dinner that night and save a dinner. Earls is excellent, i get the all American that has turkey, cranberrys and buttermilk ranch. We are also thinking of trying Raglan Road this year-- i just have to shift some ADRS around to see were i can put it and have to decide what i want to change:) I would try to do both if you can:)

Two totally different restaurant types here...hands down for us would be Raglan Road. We just aren't that thrilled with EoS, and we love the atmosphere and food at RR. The choice is easy....yummy Raglan Road!:goodvibes

Raglan Road definately!!
A somewhat interesting place with some good things on the menu, also they stay open late! Don't miss the Bread Pudding!!

As much as I love Earl of Sandwich, it is more of a lunch place.
If you go to Raglan Road, you'll get an excellent meal and amazing entertainment with the Irish band and the Irish dancing. You can make an evening of it!

I really enjoy EOS as well- but like someone said- it is more a lunch place or a "the kids are pretty tired, let's grab a sandwich and wander around DTD." Hands down if I wanted a dinner- I would go to Raglan Road. THe food there has always been rather tasty for us (the service the last two times was a little lacking, but I am hoping it's back to the way it once was)

I'd choose Raglan Road for the bread and butter pudding. OMG it was to die for good :thumbsup2

I agree with the PP. Earl is more of a lunch place while I would choose Raglan as a dinner meal.

Well, okay! Ragland Road it is! I know DH will enjoy the beers and ales, and our teens will like the music and atmosphere.

I hope they have that Heavenly Ham entree still. That one looks awesome.

I'm calling right now! LOL!

Another vote for Raglan Road :thumbsup2 - we tried it last September and really enjoyed the ambiance - the dancing and music - and of course, the bread pudding. EoS is a good counter service meal. Raglan Road's food is unique and it's a really fun experience.

Whatever you choose, enjoy! :goodvibes

Raglan Road is BY FAR the superior choice. Much more of a dinner experience vs. just "grabbing a sandwich". We've been to RR for lunch and dinner and loved it both times. Very noisy for sure, but that is part of the atmosphere.

These are totally different dining experiences. The Earl is just a counter service sandwich place. Its very good and if you are after counter service then this is the place to go. OTOH, if you want a sit-down, table service meal then go to Raglan Road.

I LOVE them both, but EoS is more of a lunch place, though that said the sandwiches are big enough to be eaten as a dinner!!!

I am another Raglan (no "d" on the end) Road fan. I've had excellent food each time I've been there. The Irish band starts playing at 9 p.m., and it's a rather noisy place.

Have you thought of adding a 2nd day at Downtown Disney? This way you could have dinner at Ragland Road and maybe have lunch another day at the Earl of Sandwich.
