I know it's always a discussion and the "rule" is to avoid EMH, especially the evening ones. We dont have PH, so I am torn, do we risk the crowds end of August/Sept this year for evening EMH at Epcot... this is no longer a "slow" season..
I am also concerned that Soarin and Frozen are going to draw even more crowds.. so is the rule this year really to avoid these EMHs??

Not a lot of help but I really don't think there is a 'rule'. Honestly it is what works best for your family. We will be part of a group of 10 going mid September. All 10 of us will have PH but not all of us will do Epcot evening EMH.

I'm a renegade and love breaking rules, I go to parks with EMHs because that's just the way I roll. Truthfully, I usually don't even know if I'm at one with EMHs I just go wherever I'm in the mood for.

Soarin is currently a 40 minute wait, 7pm in MDE in the middle of summer on an expected crowd level 8 day. You may not game much to worry about.

The rule isn't to avoid the EMHs themselves, but to avoid spending all day at EMH parks before/after the EMH, especially if you won't be participating in EMH.

EMH at Epcot seem like a great way to get a few of the Tier 1s taken care of without FastPasses. A boon to those of us who don't wish to spend multiple days at Epcot.

We love Epcot at night, WS in particular, so we always go on EMH pm days to suck up every last bit. We usually don't do hoppers so we're there all day (except for when we stayed at BWI since it was so easy to take a break at the resort).

We're planning one of our Epcot days to be on a PM EMH night (to avoid a Saturday during F&W). We felt it was the lesser of two "evils".

Does anyone know if the meet and greets (Baymax and then Joy and sadness) are open during PM EMH?

The only time I did epcot EMH it wasn't like the other parks however there wasn't 2 new tier1s at the parks either. Most people take off when illuminations is over but who knows who wil stay for frozen, soarin or test track. future world can be a little more crowded but generally 75% of world showcase closes except the core 4 countries with bars in them so that becomes a ghost town.
