I have booked my ddp with a stay at por but after figuring out what i would have spent on meals compared to the free plan because there is no breakfast included i am paying around a hundred dollars more for it be free.lol granted i will be eating a lot more food on the plan than if i was paying but for what i would be paying otherwise i just don't know. I have already booked with my timeshare before the offer came out so i have no need for the accomidations that is where the hundred dollar loss comes in. So i am torn if a hundred bucks is worth all the extra food i wouldn't be trying otherwise.

From what I understand, unless you need a big sit down breakfast, lunch and dinner everyday, you can easily make the plan cover all three meals.

There are apparently plenty of breakfast foods that can be purchased with Snack credits, so I don't think you'd need to spend an additional $100 on food just for breakfast.

Hmmm.... to me it doesn't seem to be worth it. Just knowing you're paying all that money for a resort you aren't using would get to me. Plus, if you're offsite, you may want to eat offsite, and with the meal plan you will feel obligated to use up your credits onsite.

I do love the DDP, but if you plan a few special meals OOP then you will get a similar experience.

Maybe someone will have a different view of it........

That would only be true if you are truly eating a full three meals a day, the snack and counter service credits will truly give you more food than you need, at pop you can get a box of a dozen donuts with a snack credit. You may find you spend some extra, but use your credits first!

On a related note, do you have ADR's made yet? It will really be a waste of $100 if you can't eat at the places you want at the times you want. Although the good news is that since you are offsite and presumably have a car at your disposal, you can go anywhere at any time and not be tied to Disney transportation.

Let's make sure this is clear....are you going to stay at the timeshare or POR?
Can you downgrade to a value resort if you are going to stay at the timeshare?? Or a campsite (not sure about this)?? That could save you some money if you truly wanted to do the DDP.

Staying at the timeshare and no downgrading because there are 5 of us and the suite at pop is actually more money than por. I like the idea of trying different places to eat and definately eating more than i would spring for but i just hate to waste the hundred oh i also forgot to mention i won't be using the tickets either i am saving them until next year. Yup bought them before the announcement too. But i was so excited to finally get the free dining all my adrs are booked. Still so torn.
