Topolino's Dress Code Question

The Disney website does not have much info. I am going to guess it is like Narcoossee's dress code?
What do people typically wear? I know what business casual means, but truly, what have you seen people wearing?

Years ago, I was quite shocked....we went to Narccoossee's and a woman, about 65ish, was wearing short cut-offs with strings hanging, a racer back shirt and they sat her without batting an eye. I mention that because I believe that indicates Disney does not get too wound up by dress code, as long as you are covered?

Yes, that sounds about right for almost all dining locations. We like to refer to it as theme-park casual. And to be fair, folks will spend a day at the park and then head to a place like Narcoossee's for dinner. Going from a park back to your resort to clean up and change, and then back to a restaurant - you might be looking at 60-120 minutes of Disney transportation issues. And people want often want to spend as much time as possible at the parks for the money they're spending.....

You'll see some very casually dressed folks at Topolino's, too......

If you want an elevated dining experience with a dining room atmosphere that reflects it, you will not get it at Topolino's.

If you want a casual dining experience, you will fit right in.

Oddly, the best-dressed and best-behaved dining room I've been to has been Tiffin's. I would have expected in-park signature dining to be more casual than that in the hotels, but that has not been my experience.

There will be grown men in basketball jerseys and flip flops, and kids with their iPads out at the table.

We were at Tiffins a few months ago, and it was just like all other WDW table service. A majority of people had on shorts and tank tops, our party included. As a previous poster said, who is going to waste time to go back to the resort, shower and change just to come back to a restaurant where everyone is dressed for a theme park?

I didn't say I was upset about it, did I? I shared an observation in response to a question that was asked. Tiffin's doesn't have a dress code, so obviously I don't EXPECT anyone to go there dressed a certain way.

If a place does have a dress code, it's disrespectful to your fellow diners to not follow it because they booked their reservation with the understanding that the dining room will have a certain atmosphere.

I was surprised too by what some were wearing to dinner at Topolino's for dinner when we were there last year. I thought it was more "upscale" and with a certain dress code but many were wearing shorts, etc, looking like they just came from the park. We are a family of 3, husband always wears a collared shirt and nice pants, I wore "dressy" pants and top and my daughter had a nice summer dress.
