Top Tips for New York please.....

got the subway to Brooklyn and then walked back across the Brooklyn Bridge towards Manhattan (So many people do it the other way - but believe me, it's much better doing it this way as you get to look at Manhattan the whole way across rather than Brooklyn!).
Have fun with the planning.

Absolutely agree. We did the same thing. Fabulous views.

A lot of good ideas from everyone!

I loved the double decker on/off buses. Lets you see so much of the city so easily.

As far as shows, you have so many incredible choices. For my trip to London in May, I am trying to choose the ones that I may not have a chance to see here in the states. When I got to NYC, I always look at BroadwayBox.com for ticket deals. It lets you get discounts on most of the shows, without taking the chance of using the half price booth and not getting the specific one that you want.

Have a great trip!!!!!

Hi

We are going in March. Cant wait.

Apparently I heard going to Brooklyn was really rough? Going to Brooklyn bridge just outside financial district was too? :confused3 I definately want to see Brooklyn Bridge.

Any great resturants? I would like a romantic resturant, but Bruce doesnt eat much foreign food :sad2:

I cant wait.

We took the A Train to Brooklyn High Street (I think) which is literally right by the start of the bridge so you don't really have to walk thru Brooklyn or anything.
There are always loads of people about.
I felt safe with Simon.

thanks pappy, have you done the skyride thing up the empire state building?

We didn't bother with the ride. I read somewhere (Tripadvisor maybe?) that it wasn't very good. Hopefully someone will give you some first hand knowledge.

Julie
