Top Three Bottom of the Pit Restraunts

1. Boma- not enough selection for me. I left hungry. Even the desserts were weird.
2. Nine Dragons- tiny portions of mediocre food at high prices.
3. Liberty Inn- dry, bland, homogenized counter service. For some reason, worse than other restaurants that have similar menus.

There aren't any places we'd refuse to go to, but we do try to avoid eating meals at DHS. ABC, Sci Fi, and the Backlot Express were all let downs for us.

Yak & Yeti
did not like it, at all! i don't think i'll ever go back. the only good thing about it was the dessert i had..

The only bad meal we have ever had at WDW was the Rainforest Cafe at AK. The food was wrong when it arrived at our table, then when the right food arrived it was cold and terrible. :scared1: Couldn't find our waiter to complain. Just bad. Only table service meal I ever had at WDW where I didn't tip the waiter. As we left the restaurant, those survey guys asked us to take a survey concerning Disney restaurants. We felt better being able to vent while the crappy service was so fresh in our minds.

All three of mine have been tried more than once over a period of many years. I would not make a judgement from a one time only experience. Sometimes things can be off, if it is off every time I do not return.
That said each of these have been tried at least 3 times with a similiar set of experiences thus they are "off the list!"

Cantina de San Angel (Take out)--but they will not be a choice any more:cheer2:

Pepper Market--at least 5 times and there is no consistency--sometimes one of us gets something that tastes good, but never all four of us.:rolleyes1

Whispering Canyon--I've never escaped without the most horridly raging heartburn.

You will get many different responses for your question. My bottom of the pit will be someone else's favorite. But these are mine.

1. Whispering Canyon Cafe - We've ate here three times. The first time it was good, the second just so-so, the third it was terrible. Absolutely terrible. Will never darken the door of that place again (but it's a lot of people's favorite).

2. Chef Mickey's- We've ate there for dinner twice and breakfast once. Character interraction is fine but the food is not good. Also it's waaaaaay overpriced.

3. I have no strong third choice so I will say Sci Fi just so I can have three. The food was OK but to me it was just CS food at TS prices. Much to expensive for what we got.

Don't know if they still have it but #1 Donald's Breakfastsoarus in AK.
#2 Donald's Breakfastsoarus in AK.
#3 Donald's Breakfastsoarus in AK.
Worst meal I've ever had in Disney, first trip was in 76 at the age of 15. Food was bad at best, service intolorable, character interaction absolute minimum. We had the first reservation time of the day and the food wasn't even luke warm. Never, ever again.

For us, it would probably be:
Beirgarten
Mama Melrose
Hollywood & Vine Dinner (although, I really enjoyed the character lunch--for the characters)

if I was never going to return to a counter service restaurant--ABC commissary.

hmm i think for me

Nine Dragons in China, really crappy sizes, bad deserts and it was just not enjoyable feeling bad for the trainee server when the desert was disgusting and she kept checking how things were.:D

The german restaurant because its just odd when you are 2 people sharing a table with a massive family i felt .

I can't really think of any others i would never plan to go to again except maybe Le Cellier because it was just nothing special and way too expensive and i felt i was sat in a dingy little dungeon cramped full of people

For us it would be San Angel Inn, Tony's Town Square and Whispering Canyon for dinner (breakfast was Ok but I wouldn't make a special trip to WL for it). We have eaten more than once at each and always leave disappointed. We have decided not to give any of these restaurants any more chances.

I would have to say:

Rose and Crown - mediocre food and slow service (went three times within 6 years, all bad)

Coral Reef - mediocre/cold food (that's supposed to be hot) and slow/disappearing service (tried twice)

Whispering Canyon Cafe - food is bland and service is horrible (tried three times). Unlimited milkshakes sound great unless it takes 30 minutes to get the milkshake (and, yes, we timed the second one ).

I LOVE Sci-Fi for lunch (but not at all for dinner. They really need to keep the dinner menu true to what the place is supposed to be themed after: a drive in). I've never had an absolutely horrible meal at WDW, some annoying (which is why I gave second and third tries to some of them) but nothing that was so awful that it ruined my trip or day.

The food at Hollywood & Vine was terrible. Coral Reef and Sci Fi were just okay. We tend to return to restaurants (especially CS) we like repeatedly, so our experience isn't that vast, and we haven't had too many bad experiences. And we loved Tony's, for what it's worth. :rotfl:

Yak and Yeti...( I thought the food was worse than a mall foodcourt's)

50 Prime Time Cafe... ( I love the atmosphere but thought the food was alternately bland and/or too salty...perhaps a little too authentic from our childhoods :lmao:)

and lastly Shutters...It should be called Shudders.

1. ABC Commisary - The absolute worst. Would not eat it if it was free. The hamburger had fake grill marks and the fish and chips were the worst. The fish was the size of a minnow. As said before, Disney should be ashamed and do something about it.

2. Tutto Italia - Big prices, small portions. Taste was bland. Only thing that was decent were the bread sticks. Never again.

3. Sci Fi - Really like the schtick and had a great waiter...the food really stunk.

Really surprised by the number of people who don't like Whispering Canyon Cafe for dinner. IMO it was some of the best pulled pork and mashed potatoes I have had...anywhere!

Hollywood and vine was disgusting. After eating at crystal palace earlier in the trip me and my wife where expecting a similiar experience. The restaraunt was almost empty, but yet service was terrible. Couldn't get a refill/check to save my life even though waitstaff outnumbered guests. We ate breakfast there, 30 minutes after the park opened, and all the food tasted like it had been sitting out overnight. The place was very dirty. This is the only place I would not waste any time on.

Yak and Yeti, had good service, but something didn't sit right with the food.

The sci fi diner was a let down. It also wasn't very busy but yet our food took forever and when it finnally came was cold. Also the restaraunt was almost empty and we asked to sit closer to the screen and were told no. This is a restaraunt that also suffers from the dining plan. If I can eat at liberty tree, coral reef, or tonys for one credit, why would I waste one here?

1. Chef's de France -- HORRIBLE! Had been one of my favorite places when I was younger, but it was awful on our most recent trip in February. Actually sent my meal back. The tart looked and tasted exactly like a frozen one we get at Trader Joe's and I swear the mushrooms in my entree were straight out of a can.
2. San Angel Inn -- just not really good, tasted very processed, and the service was so slow.
3. 50's Primetime -- Awesome atmosphere; but the food was pretty terrible. My husband's meatloaf resembled a hockey puck more than any sort of actual meat! :rotfl:
