Thank you for the wonderful advice. I'm beginning to implement this advice in my home. Can you send me a link to a website that sells Fastpass booths for the bathroom? I think the lights for Spectromagic will work out great on the guinea pigs, but do you think it's safe for frogs? TIA for your help

:rotfl: What a wonderful thread!!!!!!

Brilliant 88 keys!!!

In reality we have done some Disney nights at our house when we've felt homesick. Possibly the silliest was one night last summer, we had our own mini-Illuminations. We lit our tiki torches around the pool in the backyard, and I floated one of those lighted 3D laser art cubes that has an image of the globe in it IMG]

in my pool on a boogie board, as we played the soundtrack to Illuminations. My kids thought it was hysterical, my hubby thought I lost my mind, I had a tear in my eye. :confused3

I'm trying to figure out how to replicate Wishes next... :scratchin

Hi sista Lisa Tiger Fan! :wave2:

MY cat has scratched the hell out of me so I wouldn't recommend your last suggestion, but too, too funny :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I think every town should have a Bay Lake and monorail that would be amazing. I'm listening to the Fantasmic soundtrack right now :(, i miss it badly!

Glad you all enjoyed :)

Just finding ways to fight post-trip blues (sigh)

9. Start pushing a huge stroller around the house, occassionally bumping into members of your family
. That's my favorite one...*going to get stroller out of van*...LOL

You had me rolling on this one! :rotfl2:

I HATE that girl!! My mom and I kept making fun of her... but of course we kept watching :sad2:
I give up . . . who is Kryssa? :flower:

You don't know how much I want to put a FP machine outside outside my bathroom now. BTW 5-1 are excelent

Kryssa is the host of the "Top 7 things to do at Disney" - a half-hour program that is constantly being played in every WDW resort (channel 19? on your hotel tvs) as well as many Disney bus stops, ferry stops, etc. She is --- how do I put this gently -- easily excitable. She is known for "water-powered wedgies", "fish and chips in England", and blushing with Goofy. She makes poodles seem mellow.

I second printing this out for my office - my favorites were by far the stroller and Kryssa (who is desperately in need of some serious valium...does anyone else want to see her get dunked the third time she screams at the water park??/)

Thank you, THANK You for the giggles!!

When I first read the thread title I thought is said "Ways to Cure Homesickness at WDW"

I was thinking, who the heck gets homesick when your at the Happiest Place on Earth!! :earseek:

I get it now and I love your ideas. My dog would freak if I tried to put christmas lights on him! :rotfl:

Thanks for the laughs

I just got back from a lovely week-long trip to WDW and since I won't be back for another 2 years or so, I thought I would come up with ways one can capture the feeling of WDW at home.....

10. Put a FastPass machine in front of your bathroom

9. Start pushing a huge stroller around the house, occassionally bumping into members of your family.

8. Call your spouse or parent to make a Priority Seating for dinner that night (then call 3 or 4 neighbors and make PSs there as well so you have all options covered)

7. If the kids want to talk to you, tell them you are available at 1:30, 2:45, 3:30, and 5:00pm and that they should arrive a half hour early.

6. Start parking your car a few blocks away and have your kids "Big Wheel" you to your car

5. Start calling your car Test Track and tell the kids if they want to use it, they need to wait 45-70 minutes. When that time is over, tell them the car broke down.

4. Legally change your wife's name to Kryssa and make her say "I'm getting fish and chips in ENG-land" every half hour.

3. If there is a room you want to keep private, put a sign saying "Stitch's Great Escape" outside the door and that should keep folks away (at least after one visit). (sorry Stitch fans)

2. Every time you buy food, toss an extra $20 on the counter.

1. Wrap your pets in Christmas lights and have your own SPECTROMagic at 9:00 and 11:00.

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: VERY FUNNY!! Except for number 3 :teeth:

Ahhh, yes, I remember her now. Thanks! :flower:

Shoot -- now I have to change the Kryssa reference since she is gone :sad2:
