Top Ten Reasons I won't Move to Orlando

Number one and ONLY reason, my family and friends aren't there.

Otherwise I would be there in a second!

I like some of these lists, I can see the humidity being #1 on most peoples lists, thankfully we moved here from South Florida so it wasn't an issue on ours. So far, so happy though!

i don't need 10 Reasons not to move all i need is one is not San Diego :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :thumbsup2

My #1 reason that I wouldn't move to Orlando is:

TOURISTS!

I already live in a major tourist destination, and they can be idiots at times.

Us too!! We are dying to move to Florida. We are looking at the Melbourne area though not Orlando. We have not found the perfect hospital yet. The pay in Florida is really low. Our main reason for not moving there yet.
that's exactly why my family couldn't stay in Florida. My Dad is an LPN and not only did the pay stink but the benefits were non-existant. Being 1 1/2 hours from the World and 15 min from the beach was awesome though!

I have always heard from people that move there, dont worry about that. It is amazing how many friends/family want to come visit you when you move there. I know I have visited a friend down there since he moved there a year ago LOL.

We've thought about it too. But we gotta remember that the seaweed is always greener is somebody else's lake.

Okay, one reason why I would not move to Orlando:
1) Days like today

I'm halfway between NY & FL, and it's so crazy hot/humid here in the summer-- but I won't ever complain about not having to shovel snow (I grew up in NY-- I know what that is like) But I like being close enough for a 10 hr. drive to the World!!
But if I was 20 again, I might just have to move to Orlando & work for Disney, and deal with the FL heat!

That's exactly what I'm doing! :) Everyone thinks I'm crazy to leave home and move so far away. Hopefully it'll be worth it!

I'm a life-long Floridian living in Colorado right now...and I walked through a foot of snow for the very first time the other day. Two months ago, I saw snow flurries for the first time in Ukraine. Whoever said ignorance was bliss.....LIED!! I don't know how to handle this mysterious white substance you Northerners call snow.

Call me crazy, but I miss the beach.

But heck, I'm in the middle of the mountains, so I can't complain.

Still, I would be in my shorts right now if I were home.

And be hot and sweaty at the same time.

:confused3

1. DISNEY WORLD

I can't argue the freaking heat humidity thing though, it's the # 1 thing keeping
me from actually and really moving to Orlando. The lilac thing is another issue.
I LOVE my two huge lilac bushes, but eh, they only last a few weeks anyway,
I'd get over it for the palm trees.

As a former Floridian and Clevelander, you had me laughing here! I live in NC right now but we are due south ASAP!

Ummm, a whopping 50 degrees here today. I had to wear a sweatshirt.
But hey, it's supposed to hit 60 degrees by Wednesday! :thumbsup2

The lilacs really are gorgeous this year though!
