Thinking of Top 10 lists....I would really like to see something like "Top 10 Moments on My CP" or "10 Things To Do On Your CP Before You Head Home"
Just fun things, food for thought!
Here are my lists, now it's been a while since I did CP (Fall Ad 2001). But most of the stuff would still be relevant.
TOP 10 Moment on my CP
1. Anyday having fun in the parks with your friends
2. Trips down to Stuart Beach on the Coast for the weekend
3. Hanging out with friends at Chatham pool
4. When my parents came to visit, treating them first class w/ my discounts
5. Watching Illuminations 54 times during my stay and celebrating the 50th viewing with friends
6. Celebrating Birthday at PI
7. Making a video tribute to our summer at Disney
8. Anytime you can make a guest smile and truely enjoy the Disney magic
9. Golfing the Palm and Magnolia
10. The best moments are going to come from the times when you are hanging out with friends in your apt., at the parks, or anywhere else. Cherish them and have a blast. Nothing can beat the feeling of walking around Disney knowing you actually live there.
TOP 10 Things to do before CP is done.
1. Try to take in as many of the smaller attractions as possible. I did many things on my CP that I had never done on a normal vacation.
2. 4 Parks in 1 Day: We created a special club for those who could accomplish the top rides at each park in one day. At the time we included: DAK-Kilimanjaro Safari, and Dinosaur (now add Everest)....Epcot--Test Track (now add Soaring, Mission: Space)....MK--Splash Mt, Space Mt, Thunder Mt and Buzz Lightyear...DHS--TOT and RnRC starring Aerosmith. It does take some planning and strategic Fast pass use. Especially now with 3 more rides.
3. Pick up overtime/extra shifts at other parks: It was fun to work in the parks that you weren't normally at.
4. Take some days and go to the beach. Wish I would have done this more, because Cocoa and Daytona are fun places to hang out for the day.
5. Dinner Shows: We did Hoop De Do Revue, and Mickey's Backyard BBQ at Disney, but also Arabian Knights, and Mystery Dinner Theatre. Have some fun.
6. Universal. I know, I know, it's not Disney, but while you're down there, experience Universal (Studios and IOA and Riverwalk) you'll have fun, but also get a greater appreciation for Disney when you start noticing some differences that set them apart.
7. Invite your family and/or Friends from home to come down, you get amazing discounts that you can use for them.
8. JUNGLE CRUISE This is by far my favorite ride, and while it definitely could use some updating. I hope they keep the core of it in tact. It's a hoot
9. Enjoy some of the shopping, and attractions on I-Drive. THere is plenty to do and it's only a short drive away.
10. Don't make the mistake of thinking, "I'll have enough time to do everything." The time there goes by fast. Before you know it, you'll be in your last month of your CP and trying to rush to do things you wanted to do but haven't gotten the chance to yet. Most of all, enjoy the friendships you'll make and just have fun hanging out. What could be better for a Disney fan. Living right in the middle of all the magic, free access to all the parks, and building some amazing friendships along the way. Enjoy.
