I think you get "points" for trying really hard to be excited about your non-Disney Disney vacation. I am so glad you get to go to WDW! I knew you had to find a way. Otherwise, it would have been like reading novel where the heroine didn't have a happy ending!

Disney Silly bands are available at Modell's Sporting Goods Stores. I think they might be a PA chain though. (here's the site if anyone wants to look for locations: http://www.modells.com/home/index.jsp)

They had the Mickey, Donald, etc pack, Fairies, Princesses, Toy Story.

Great news Jackie!! Although I have to say I am not that surprised. I could see me doing the exact same thing & keep thinking about going to Disney. Next trip is for our DS who will be graduating college & told him I would relent & we could do 2 days at Universal, 1 day at Seaworld, one day swimming with the dolphins & 2 days at Disney. It will probably kill me to be at Universal and not Disney on those days but those coasters are calling his name. I am so happy for you Jackie. Did you get a pin code?? I just got one the other night by email but we just got back & not going back until next year.

So, we were sitting at the sea lion show at the Memphis Zoo today and Jill was reading all of this to me. We probably looked like the happiest sea lion show watchers there, but it had nothing to do with the show.

Those darn silly bands. My girls got a pack from my girlfriend a month ago. No real interest, no real demand here. I even bought some for my neighbor earlier this week when I was at Walgreens because her kids love them.

But last night we were at Hannah's end of the year party and the mom had ones for them all (including Em who got to go too). Now my girls care.... and I hear now they have been at her school a few weeks too.

Although the Disney ones are awfully cute... I would love to score some sets!

I have to say I don't mind those Silly Bandz too much. They are cheap, cute, and the kids have fun with them. Luckily, my two aren't so obsessed with them that I am having to stand in line for new shipments of them or anything.

The Disney ones are super cute especially the Mickey and Friends ones.

Man I worked hard on that one. j/k

Summer vacation has to be planned,
a new place with shopping and sand,
and lots of new things to see,
but how I do wish to be with thee,

This is so cute! I love it! I already loaded it into my Shutterfly project to play around with fonts and such.

So excited for you and your Disney decision! I checked on HHI prices, and wow they were steep! I could plan a whole weeks stay at disney plus our airfare for how much that villa would have cost! Have a blast!

They are expensive in the summer -- it seemed ludicrous to spend the same amount there that we would at Disney for a room and tickets. The prices during the fall are so much more reasonable! Maybe an October trip there would be nice.

For some reason I had you going in June, I was confused. His birthday is July 9th so if I am not able to score a set before then, I will see if you can still get them for me ( just as long as you are still going to Disney and don't change your mind again ) Belated birthday gifts are the best in my opinion! He is a tad bit obsessed with these silly silly bandz! He went to birthday party last night and came home with the candy set- he was so excited to show me them!

I totally know what you mean about MSEP...it IS my childhood at Disney. Last week I YouTube'd it and emailed it to my cousin who went on all my childhood trips with me and we still continue to take most of our trips together with our families. They will be joining us for a few days on our trip next month so I wrote "don't you judge me if I cry when we see this live this summer...I just cried when I saw it on YouTube." We'll be there for four nights before they get there; I kind of want to wait for them so we could see it together...at the same time I'm thinking I could make it a new memory with just my family and then we'll still see it together once she gets there with her family. I kind of really want to see it as many times as possible. Now, if I could just make the music my ringtone....hmmmm

Thank you! After I read your post yesterday, I youtubed it and cried like a baby, too, when the music started and the announcer came on! You are right -- it IS my childhood at Disney! I know I will be all weepy when we see it! There isn't any way to prevent that! LOL! When you figure out how to make it your ringtone, let me know, I need it, too!

WDW must be getting desperate for guests. I have received several offers so far. The last one was 40% off all resorts. Next year when I'm planning to go there probably won't be any offers.

Yes, Disney Karma is always at work! Charles and I enjoyed our stay at CBR last October and can't wait for the kids to experience it. They are going to love it!

I wish I could get that 40% pin on all resort levels. We are only getting 30% at the moderate level, but a discount is a discount!

She does need glasses -- her eyes aren't nearly as bad as Connor's but she is near-sighted. The pair she picked out are super cute. I will have to take pictures of them when she gets them.

Thank you! I will sprinkle bucket loads of pixie dust in the hope that the extend the parade! I think everyone should have a chance to see it! It's a Disney institution in my opinion!

Eventually we will have to venture over to Universal as well -- Connor wants to do the Harry Potter theme park. At least Disney is just down the street from Universal and you will get two days! That will be fun!
