We'll be there in exactly 2 weeks and definitely plan to check it out. Only drawback is it will be Grad Nite at MK so no fireworks as far as I can tell. Still, we'll enjoy some quiet time in the lounge. Any good spots for watching the Electrical Water Pageant if not staying in a LV room?

There ARE fireworks for the grad nights- at midnight from what I read. We have the same issue as we are at BLT 4/29-May2. I planned to watch the fireworks from the lounge at night as we are staying lake view this time.

Does anyone know if the TOTW lounge will still be open at midnight on Fri and Sat nights for us to be able to watch the grad night fireworks from there?

Thanks for the info Inkmahm. I saw your thread about the hours for the TOTWL and I guess we'll plan on going Sat night just before midnight (Fri is Epcot's EMH and we wouldn't miss that for the world) to hopefully catch the MK Grad Nite fireworks.

You can probably see it from the pool but there is a back deck at the lounge (it is really more of a small balcony- it has regular balcony railing and is about 3 feet deep). We walked out there just before 10 and had a great view and could hear just fine.

You can also walk over to the beach at the Contemporary.

Thank you rlovew. This is our first time staying anywhere near a "monorail resort" and we've always wanted to catch the EWP so this will be our best chance.

Although we've been going to WDW at least once a year for years now, it's always fun to have a "first" and WDW always seems to have something new (or old that we've never had the opportunity to try) for us to do or see.

I think it would be nice to see it opened up to at least all BLT owners (if not all DVC owners!!). I own at both BLT and AKL and during my last trip, was staying at AKL. Although I wanted to check out the lounge, and own at BLT, I was unable to because I was, on that particular trip, staying at my other home!!

will hopefully be there on June 2nd this year. How early do you have to go to have a view of the fireworks? Since it will be summer, do we even have a chance?

If you don't already have your reservation at BLT for June 2 by now, chances are slim that you will get one at this point.
