Top of the World on a party night?

We will be at Riviera the week of Thanksgiving. I'd like to see the Christmas fireworks, but I've been outvoted and the family decided the Jollywood nights would be better than the MVMCP. So I was thinking about going to BLT one of the party nights and watching from there. What are the chances we'd be able to go up? I've never been to ToW before so Idk what to expect.

The lounge itself is often closed for parties and special events, but the viewing balcony is usually still open.
