Anyone think we can make it up there to see the fireworks??

Yes they do. They verify your room number before allowing you up

ON NYE, you cannot get up there without staying there....as strict as it gets especially on that night

12/30 is a blackout date. Must be a member at BLT on points that night. Sorry.

DVC members staying at other on-site resorts and blocked out on that date, but I've never actually found the admission criteria for those dates. I have no idea who else is allowed simply because they're staying at the resort.

The beauty of the location is that there is the outside deck, my kids came up and watched from out there

Last year and this year I am staying at BLT specifically to go to TTOTW. They checked us diligently last year, and it was more crowded than normal, but NYE was much more crowded.

i asked this on another forum but didn't get an answer. Since some are taking their kids, I hope this would be ok. My DH and I don't drink alcohol. I was wondering if it would be weird to visit the TOWL just to see the fireworks, maybe grab a dessert with a non-alcoholic beverage???

Many people go up just to view the fireworks. There's a large outdoor viewing area, which is accessed without entering the lounge.

But, I've gone up a few times with my daughter and nephews just to get dessert. The 7-layer cake is pretty darn good.

Thanks! This is good to know. I just didn't want to feel out of place. I did see that dessert on the menu, and it sounded delicious!
