Top of the World Lounge

I'm aware of the wording for TOTWL access. We'll have to agree to disagree on the interpretation. IMO, everyone in my traveling party who is staying on my points is entitled to access. Number of rooms required to accommodate the party is not a factor.

I cannot imagine any CM denying access to just some of my guests based on who is sleeping in what room. YMMV.

When the CM scans the band, they will try to match it to the member ID. Room #2 doesn't have anyone in it with an ID. Depending on the CM, this might be problematic. Prior to MB's DW was denied access because she didn't have her room key with her, I had mine but we had to go back to the room and get hers.

As I posted, they have loosened the rules and now include members staying at any DVC resort IMO because the more people in the lounge, the more money they make on drink and food sales.

I feel that the strict interpretation is staying on in the same villa you are but agree they will not prohibit your entire party from coming up.

Last fall, when we we went to TOTWL, I remember having to show my DVC card. I don't recall them scanning magic bands on anyone in the elevator. Is that new, did they skip it that time, or do they have a sensor to scan your band like on the rides and in the park?

They check you at the desk and then you are escorted to the elevator. Shouldn't be any reason to check it again there if those procedures are followed.

I recall showing our card at the desk, but don't recall them scanning our bands. Maybe they did and I just forgot or wasn't paying attention. I'll find out when we go back up.
