Beak and Barrel Seating Experiences

I went twice in January. I was sat at the back window thing on a stool, opposite the bar. The second time, after waiting for 45 min in the rain, I was standing at the bar 3 from the end on the right side. I don't think it was a big deal to stand, especially with the strict time limit. Also, it was a different experience in each spot.

Was the first seat at the back window the one where your back is to the bar and you're staring at what looks like a stained glass or frosted glass divider?

When I was in the map room I walked around the whole place a few times scouting out all the seats and I felt there were many areas that had some sort of obstruction or annoyance to them. Those window seats looked like they fell into that category. It's also very possible that with my less than ideal standing room I was trying to secretly cope by poopooing other seats in my mind lol.

Yeah, it was fine. I walked around and explored a bit when I finished my drink and there was a better view of the animatronics above the bar than when I was “sat” (stood) at the far right side of the bar the next time.

I just posted a few photos from there and one from the right side of the bar. I thought it was fine, I just turned around and watched what was going on around the place. No complaints.

ha no worries..Pics make it look like it was a good seat. Standing at bar, especially like you said for only 45 minutes, probably a very good spot to have

We went 2/22, we were a party of 3, got a 4 top table. When they were announcing parties, they said the time so you knew when your time started. I wanted the mug for my collection so I got the punch. It was pretty good. My friend got a beer and her son got the cursed treasure. It was likely a one and done for the experience.

We just made our reservations, we are a party of 5 but couldn't book a table that big. We couldn't even do a 3 person reservation. We had to do 2 resys of 2 people and 1 of one person. It is the 10 am reservation. I don't mind being by myself, but is there any chance we would be seated together? Would we be stuck in the map room if we did request sitting together?

Hard to say because they kind of call people in based on people leaving. Doesn't hurt to ask! There is a chance that everyone could be seperated, but there are also tables that can seat quite a few, and it's early so you may get lucky!

I think we might be the first seating, hopefully that will work in our favor. If not no big deal.

Went again last week. Party of 3 put at a table for 3 in the large side room. (last time we were at big shared table right as you walk in main room). Again I walked all over the tavern and noticed the increase in chairs.

Stools now line the big bar wall in the second bigger room. The only spot I saw seatless were:

- a portion of the wall bar by front door with no guests standing there (which in Oct did have bar stools - guess they moved them)
- the actual bar minus low bar table (was seatless in Oct minus the low bar table)
- the map room (was seatless in Oct)

It was about 6 pm and it was full, and most folks were seated.

I've been looking for 2 weeks for our June trip and there have been only reservations for 2. Tried at 6AM at 60 days and only for 2 available. Been checking 2-3 times a day and only 2 available. Can look at availability calendar and edit for number in party and nothing above 2 available up to 60 days. I think Disney is trying to make Beak and Barrel only for adults and not families .Like you I made 2 reservations for 2 at same time. When went in March was easy to make reservation for 6.

That is interesting that you used to be able to make bigger reservations, I wonder if it is because it is so popular?
