I know many questions have been asked about this place - I have even asked them myself!!!
Would anybody know the answers to the following:-
I am having a vow renewal at WDW in May 2011 and because of the ridiculous prices charged and the restrictions placed upon you by DFTW, I am seriously considering a ceremony at the Swan followed by dinner at a restaurant. One of the elements I would love, that DFTW provides, is a fireworks dessert party. I own at BLT and will be staying there for my VR in a two bedroom villa, and all my small party of guests (total of 14 including DH and I) will also be staying at BLT in studios for 5 days paid for with my points (saved and borrowed!!)
Will my guests, who are staying on points, be allowed access to the lounge when accompanied by me, the owner who is also staying there?
Would I be able to have private dining or somebody provide a selection of desserts and hot drinks for my guests to enjoy whilst using the lounge and watching the fireworks?
Would I be able to create a 'tab' over the bar so that my guests can order drinks and cocktails which I will pay for at the end of the evening?
Who could I contact for help with this matter?
Thanks for your help!!

Any guests including children that are registered in BLT rooms that you have booked through dvc member services are allowed into Top of the World lounge both with or without you. They will just be asked to present their kttw card which is valid during the dates of the trip to enter. I have not heard so far of anything being done in the way of pre-arranging food, etc. for a large group at TOTWL; it probably is best to give Private Dining a call to get answer on that. There is a limited menu of flatbreads & desserts available each evening, try this link for more on this

I would think if you are all seated near one another running a tab should not be a problem.

Best wishes on your planning & congratulations on your VR, I'm sure it will be wonderful :goodvibes Post back if you can how the plans go.

We held our actual ceremony at a local church when we did our vow renewal in Orlando. We had in-room makeup and hair done and then went via a large limo that held the entire party from BWV to the ceremony... then back to Disney. We also hired a photographer to take lots of photos around the property (our photog had been a Disney employee for many years). This was followed by a luncheon, cake and champagne at the Grand Floridian Cafe. That night, we all met up again for a late seating at Bistro de Paris, in the side dining area that overlooks the fireworks. I arranged all of these activities myself, without going through DFTW. If you'd like info on vendors we used or where to call, shoot me a PM.

HTH!
Evey =)
