If I am a dvc owner staying at BLT BUT I am staying on a cash reservation (AP discount) do I get to use the lounge?

Hrmmm.....

The only two restrictions I heard when we there last week was:

1) You have to be a DVC Member

2 You had to be staying at BLT...

Unless it has very recently changed, the TOTWL is only open to DVC members (and their guests staying with them) who booked their points or cash stay through Member Services.

So you would not qualify since AP discounted rooms can only be booked through CRO/DRC.

That said, the only way you can find out for sure is to take your DVC member card and your room ID to the first floor after 5 pm and see what the CMs there say. Maybe you'll be lucky or maybe the access policy has indeed changed.

Can you also take guests not staying with you in your unit? For instance, if you have a local friend visiting you?

According to the published policy no your friend would not be able to go to lounge with you, but if you are a member staying at BLT on your points or booked through MS on a cash rate and want to ask the CMs who allow access to the lounge, you never know but just keep in mind and make your friend aware that it's probably most likely going to be no.

Better yet, if it doesn't bring the total number of guests over the occupancy limit for your villa just add your friend as a registered guest on your BLT booking, then your friend would be good to go up.

:)

That's a good idea--we only have four staying in a 2-bedroom, so that's no problem. Thanks.

Keep in mind that if you are on the DDP, if you enter anyone else on the reservation then you will have to pay for the DDP for them as well.
